Gael Clichy is officially a Citizen. Lets watch Wenger respond, there's plenty of mediocre LB in Ligue 2.

We don't seem to be able to attract the 'big' players anymore.

I sometimes wonder if when they say Wenger and Gazidis are hard at work on the phone, whether it is the equivalent of David Brent's attempt to fire Chris Finch in The Office. :woot:

So who will be the next to deaprt? Nasri or Fabregas?...

The exodus begins!

Everybody thought we'd finally strengthen the squad accordingly, but we seem to be carrying on as we have been in recent times. A slow and painful regression.

Gael Clichy said in 2009: "I really believe if you are a player who thinks only about money then you could end up at Manchester City."

Ouch! :whatever:

I think £7m for Clichy is good money, he isn't outstanding going forward & defensively he is often exposed & caught out of position.

I think Arsenal should have absolutely no trouble whatsoever finding a £7m rated left back that would slot straight into the team & be potentially better than Clichy..

Fabregas & Nasri on the other hand..

I think Fabregas will stay at least for another year.

I'm not too upset about Clichy leaving. However, I doubt we will reinvest in a new LB. I'm sure Wenger has Gibbs in mind as his replacement.

I'm expecting Nasri to be the next one out, followed later by Fabregas probably. The ball is in Barca's court now on that one it seems.

So it looks like Thierry Henry will be in the MLS All Star Game. Not exactly a huge accomplishment for him, but he's having a nice season in the MLS, meaning that he'll probably be back in Europe on loan in January.

I doubt it, if he wanted to play in Europe he could have stayed in Europe.

I think right now the big clubs are al waiting to see who moves first on The Sanchez, Modric, Nasri and Sneijder deals, and things will pick up on all 4 once the Cesc/Barca saga is settled one way or another.

So Tevez is asking out of City again. This is getting as bad as the Cesc/Barca Saga.

Everytime I see "the Cesc/Barca Saga" I keep on thinking it says Cesc/Bacary Sagna! I actually spent a good deal of time on google yesterday trying to work out if Sagna had been up to something

I did know that Henry trained in Europe during the offseason last year.

And whatever happened to MLS interest in Patrick Viera?

Yeah. He trained with us at the beginning of the year during the MLS off-season.

I think he may still be contemplating whthter to take a coaching role with City or possibly Arsenal, or carry on playing, possibly in the MLS.

Calling it now. Manchester United are going to sign Wesley Sneijder.

Gut instinct, plus a bit of info you could say that I have been privvy too.

We'll see if it pans out though...

I think the fact that the new manager for Inter (sorry the name escapes me at the moment) hasn't come out and said he's going to be there. Just cryptic messages.
