Agreed, the goals were great and alot less flopping...but Barcelona is only a great team for me because of a couple of great players. Messi, Villa, and Xavi.

Dont like anyone else

At the same time this game is another example of Carrick basically having to everything himself in mid field. Other than setting up the goal Giggs might as well have not been on the pitch, the same goes for Park.

Barcelona were the better team tonight. I don't think there was anything United could do differently to be honest. I'm disappointed in Valencia's and Chicharito's performance.

I have no respect for Barcelona but they are a very good team and deserved their win tonight.

The second goal was the killer and very poor from our perspective, just letting them play in front of our 18 yard box, and I Think Edwin should have done better, but overall they pummeled our goal for 25 minutes in the second half and dominated the bulk of the first.

Rooney was the only player on our team that looked to have the technique and ability to live with them, Giggs did in flashes but his age showed tonight. Until we address midfield we wont win another CL.

im watching itv - was he honestly onside or off?

I cant really tell from the angles Ive seen

Half his arm looked off to me.

The better team won, Man U put it up to Barca (and fair play to them for putting up a better fight than 2 years ago) for a while but in the last half hour there was only one winner. Delighted for Abidal.

The way Barca play is just silly. Every single time a player has the ball, he has at least 2 options. And they're usually easy options. The system just makes it easy for the players, especially players of that calibre.

When United got the ball they rarely had multiple options or easy passes.

People say Guardiola has it easy because of all the talent at his disposal, I don't believe that. It's the system that makes Barca probably the best club team in the history of football.

The problem is that because Barcelona have so much possession that the entire opposition team is in their defensive positions when they win the ball so there is no out ball.

Chelsea excelled against Barcelona because of Drogba giving them the out ball.

United tried that with Hernandez tonight but he was always offside

well that was a ****ing embarrassment pure and simple

i have told myself united would lose and i expected them too. but i also expected them to at least go down swinging. no drive no passion. the fact that fergie sat down for the majority of the match just amazed me

it was 2009 all over again attack for 15 minutes and then sit back and take it. the second half just amazed me. messi's goal was taken superbly but how in the hell was he allowed so much space at the edge of the box. valencia needs to wake the hell up not every movement needs that little pirouette he likes to do get the ball and get it up the field

its not gonna happen but the summer need to be one of change. no money, players past they're prime, no fire in the team and there are no proven players wanting to come to united anymore, and that shows what a sorry state we are in

i will hold my hands up and say that on the night barca were the better team by far, but you will never convince me that they are not uefa's golden boys

Chicharito was offside the entire match. It was frustrating to watch. Can someone tell me what happened to Berba? I heard a tidbit about him but I didn't catch what.

Word has it that Berbatov left the stadium when he found out he wasn't on the bench.

why wasnt he on the pitch? they mentioned he hadnt made the bench and wasnt even sitting with the united players

To be fair none of them are suited to the way Barca play. I find it baffling that a talent like that wasn't even on the bench.

United were missing a player who could keep hold of the ball tonight. Someone who could control it and play intelligent passes to bring his team mates into play. A Dimitar Berbatov like player. Maybe we should buy one this season

****kity, ****kity, ****, ****, ****...

We were outplayed tonight.... but i think it should have been 2-1 not 3-1....

A few tweaks on the team (Namely getting Nani to ****ING PASS THE BALL!!!) and we will be back to give the Barca scum the thrashing they are LONG overdue

And what was Park doing? He's a hard worker, no doubt. But he just isn't good enough at this level. He just runs around like a headless chicken. That isn't gonna really help against a team like Barca.

I hope this game shows Fergie the overwhelming need they have in midfield. Go out and spend Fergie.

not going to happen. i respect the man to all hell, but he's blind to our faults he'll see the 19th title and think we're fine

the look on his face told the story tonight

The big question for me was why no Berba on the bench??
