Who knows? All I know is the penny for your thoughts thing is incredibly cheesy. I am glad to see that the writers have retained their knack for being as subtle as a 10 ton elephant.

The Haitian erased Noah's memory. I think penny guy just made the abusive step-father forget about his family. He seems good, since he's looking out for Tommy.

Turns out to be a good guy. Something about infecting objects with mind-erasing factors. Seems to choose pennies as his theme.
