As long as they get to complete this season, I'm okay. I need every single episode.
That's kind of what I was thinking. Carter might be given a bit more leeway because with it being a limited series to 'fill in' while AOS is on break during the winter months, I don't think they were expecting real huge numbers. I think no matter what they'll probably stick with AOS having a solid Winter break like they did this year and like Once Upon a Time has been doing the past couple seasons. Since I think it's worth it to have the second half of the season run pretty much straight through with few to no breaks. If AC doesn't get renewed that would mean either AOS repeats or some other limited series or something that ABC wants to try out filling in.The numbers aren't great, but would reruns during hiatus be any better? It's worth keeping in mind how you would replace it. The only other option is spreading out Agents of SHIELD again with more breaks. I'm not sure ABC wants that. That would help them get a second limited-run season.
Yes. Because of the way CW's demographics skew their 18-49 ratings always tend to be lower (their shows tend to be aimed more towards the teenage crowed which just barely bumps into the 18-49 range) and CW seems to be just fine with that. The other main networks, however, tend to have content that appeals to more of the 18-49 range and so they (on average) tend to have higher ratings than CW has. So what's good for CW isn't necessarily seen as good on other networks. If AC is doing on par with The Flash how exactly is it "struggling"? Is it because of it being on ABC as opposed to The CW?
Sadly, I think this show is doomed.
