Ive been thinking of it and it occurred to me that they [the producers] seem to have wanted certain similiarities/parallels with Barrys costume, like in style, material etc. Story-wise, Zolomans Flash outfit was entirely inspired by his dads uniform so it was almost entirely unrelated to Jays costume, which I guess existed first? But yeah, I dug Zolomans costume more - the whole retro/rocketeer look aesthetic kicked ass.

Agreed, I preferred it much more as well.

The retro-rocketeer could have been kick-ass if the colors had been better/more vibrant, the suit had been less leather and incorporated fabric pants and it had been worn on an actor who had gotten into better shape while also being tailored to fit a little closer to the skin.
