Funny how some dog RE4 yet praise the GoW HD collection for "looking so good" when... it really just looks pretty much the same only a bit more "smooth."

The difference between the GoW collection and its PS2 originals is alot more noticeable. Those games definetly benefited from the remaster. RE4? It makes it playable on a PS3 but it doesnt necesarily look like an improvement of previous releases of the game. It looks the same

You haven't played the ps2 version of RE4 then. That game looked horrible in comparison to the GC version. I recently purchased the Ps2 version(before the hd was announced) and quickly traded it back in.

This HD port is just as good as the GoW and PoP HD ports, both of which I own.

The only thing I don't like about the HD port is you can't change the controls so that you can aim with the right stick instead of the left. But I don't think u could in the orig either

I'm cool with it too. There's a lot of games coming out this fall so I'd rather they take their sweet time with ORC and deliver an amazing game

I have it and it doesnt look too good at all. I mean they could have at least redid some of the textures bc alot of the objects just look bad. They didnt rework the menus and the FMVs look like crap (although I didnt expect them to redo those). The game doesnthold up too well mainly bc of the controls which are hard to go back to. They shouldnt have even bothered to call this game RE CVX HD, bc its hardly HD quality. Its not a true remaster and comes across more as a straight up port. Nothing was done except increasing the resolution. Its dissappointing.I think the 5.0 is a bit low though. Id give it a 6.5

That's pretty disappointing actually. I wasn't expecting a complete redoing like RE 1 for GC, but i expected more than a freaking port. I'm hoping the price goes down sooner or later. 20 bucks for that is ridiculous.

ive been dying for a REmake of RE2. the REmake of RE1 is probably still my favorite game of the last 10 years.

I'm currently playing Dead Island and the only firearms I have is a regular gun and a shotgun with no ammo. And depending on what kind, 3 Zombies can be tough as hell. I often run down streets looking for a ladder to get me on a roof. And even then I might not be safe.

Arrange mode to be unlockable at the end of all four scenarios of the game

I'm cool with an RE2 game having a bit more ammo. I mean... We are in a police station for over half the game, lol.

It should have less than RE5 though. There's not much of a scare factor if you can just blast anything that's in your way.
