RE6 is kinda terrible. If you have to chose between the two, go with Revelations.

I don't think 6 is terrible, per se. The Leon chapters are effin great. The Jake chapters are so-so. It is the Chris and Ada chapters where things fall apart. Chris just plays like a bad COD knock off. While Jake is basically a bad Uncharted knock off, it is at least fun. Chris's chapters are just tedious. Meanwhile, Ada's are glitchy and lacking in fun. The developers just tried to do too damn much. I think it reflects a split on the development team. The Leon chapters indicate to me, that at least some of the team wants to go back to the old way and start making survival horror again. Meanwhile, Capcom is pushing hard to make a "mainstream," game (which is reflected by the other chapters).

Yeah..i agreee with what you said there. I bought this game fully believeing that i'll probably only going to play this once or twice but i really enjoyed the game...despite it's flaws.

The Leon campaign...the first two chapter are indeed effin great. There were genuine tension.Like that bit in the underground railway station. It was the only moment in the game where it actually felt like a horror game. The last two chapters of the campaign is where things start to fall apart.Especially when you're forced to fight the same boss again and again...and again.

My fav campaign is Jake and Sherry. It just tons of fun.

This res evil game, if you compared it to the previous games, it's better written, especially in terms of dialoques. It's not one cheesy lines after another like the previous installments IMO, which has always bothered me.I ended up enjoying Chris campaign, despite the fact that it's the most tedious one in the game, simply because i like how they've written the character.

I also have to disagree about the complaints about the combat system. Once you learn every thing that is possible with the combat system, it actually flows pretty good. There are tons of things that you can do with it that were never really explained by Capcom. The only way to learn those things is if you play the mercenary game.

The only real complain i have is the camera , which ios pretty awful most of the time.

Playing RE6, cause Revelations will be released later this month
For starters, not need for Windows Live gaming like RE5 and ORC require
Press any button to enter the graphics configuration system, exit to head to the title screen to press on any button to enter graphics configurations, again. Took me a while to press enter twice on the changed setting to enter the main menu
A prologue with Leon was unexpected, I expected an immediate jump to campaign selection
Campaign selection screen is on, and I see I have Ada's campaign unlocked already, don't need to finish the other three to have it
As campaigns go, I started with Chris, it's entertaining, and I like how I can use the knife a lot, sort of reminds me of Code Veronica
Boy, I will agree with GameSpot on the camera, it has a mind of its own, that's annoying
And the screen is still too dark at certain ponts

That is a fair point. The Leon chapters in RE6 were pretty fun. I was just so soured by what came after that I didn't even finish the game.

That was my experience as well. Played Leons campaign, thought it was ok then played some of Chris's campaign then just put the game down never to return.

^^Haha...you never got to finish the game then? not even the mercenaries mod, which is pretty fun?

I traded it in. I bought Halo 4 with the abysmal trade value I got for it.

Hah nah just never cared to finish it. Maybe I will at some point

I paid good money for it...that was my first reason/motivation to finish it:oldrazz:

I play on the PC, so re selling is not an option

But anyway...i eneded up enjoying the game afterall. So it's all good.

Capcom year-end results: sales up, profit down, Resident Evil 6 failed to meet projections at 4.9M

Resident Evil 6, Capcom's flagship of horrors for the fiscal year concluding March 31, 2013, certainly has "plateaued," as Capcom put it in today's results. The game, which launched in October of 2012, shipped over 4.5 million units at the time. The company announced today the game sold 4.9 million units. Comparatively, Resident Evil 5 has sold 6.1 million units.

"As a result, [Resident Evil 6] did not meet with our projection," the company's statement reads. "In contrast, Dragon's Dogma became a greater-than-expected hit product in the domestic market, which has high profitability, and became an unprecedented million seller in the recent years as an original title."

Overall, Capcom sales were up 14.6 percent for the year to ¥94.07 million ($950M), with net income down to ¥2.97 million ($30M), which is a decrease of 56 percent from last year. Capcom expects this year to be similar in revenues, but hopes to bring that profit back to the 2012 level. This year's line-up includes Remember Me and Lost Planet 3.

Any DmC numbers in there? Has it already broken 1 million sales?

Nope that one's almost purely res 6 talk. when they put sales stuff for the more recent DMC , I'll put it in the appropriate thread for it.

That's too bad about RE6. I had a lot of fun with it.

I'm having fun with Chris's campaign, after finishing 2 chapters my only complaint is the camera wiggling sometimes
It might be a nitpick, but 1 button for running, and center camera can be a doozy
The ending of chapter 2 is pretty sad
After I'm done with his, I will move to Jake's campaign, will play as Jake this time cause I played as Sherry in the demo

Good.

Theyve gone in a piss poor directed with RE and needed this kick in the balls to wake them up.

RE6? Wasn't Resident Evil. Here's my wish list for RE7

Stop with this campaign ****.
Stop the multiple characters. RE4-5 showed us that you can do all the things as 3 characters in just one.
Stop the partners following you. Didn't need one in RE4, don't need them at all. Takes away the fear factor.
Stop the COD ****. Because this attempt at making it like COD - Gears Of War is just a waste.

Make it more like RE1. Low on bullets. No more partner to make you feel safe. Pitch black spooky place. ****ting yourself because you hear a zombie around the corner and don't want to venture round...just for a zombie of all things!

or just dont make a Resident Evil 7 and let the next title be Resident Evil, a complete reboot of the series

Jake and Sherry campaign is by far my fav.part of the game! enjoy!

One tip: learn everything about what Jake is capable of! he can do more, combat wise, than what you learn from the tutorials on the screen.

If they're planning to reboot the series, they need to look at the recent Tomb Raider to game to see how a reboot done correctly.

They did the 'low on ammo'part on Chris campaign, and it was annoying as hell. I guess Chris is the kind of soldier who goes to a warzone with only one magazine clip!

The other thing they need to eliminate if they're going to reboot this series, is the massive underground cave, lab, tomb whatever. It always takes me out of the story narrative because how unbelievable it is. I know res eveil games isn't big on realism, but still...

Just stick with believeable locales...and for god's sake, fix the camera!

Low on ammo only works in the context of the story and character. A soldier with minuscule ammo doesn't make sense, but a police unit that's just called in to investigate a mansion? Yeah, they wouldn't have too much ammo.
