The killing of the originals is the one aspect I'm not too stoked about, but hopefully it won't be a huge part of the game

I think it'll be optional. Maybe there will be multiple endings with one being the "official" ending?

I look at that whole game as just one big what if anyway. We already know how it all went down. If we'd play according to the Story canon, it be pretty boring if we couldn't take on some of the bosses.

For example, I'm totally stoked to see Mister X in the game. I don't just want to fight him to a standstill, so he can get back to getting killed by Claire and Leon. I want to waste that sucker myself. I also want to take on Nemesis if possible.

I'd still like to play as HUNK, like a story driven game with him as the main character. It would be interesting to see things from his point of view... and not just in timed runs ala RE2.

This squad based game may be the closest we'll get...

Seems like we're getting a team of HUNK's. I wonder if we can play as Tofu at some point in this game??? That'd be........interesting

Oh I see now. The Revival Selection will just be these downloadable games in disc form. I hope they can manage to get CVX to look good bc that game is a bit old. No doubt RE4 will look good as it did when it was originally released and still holds up well

Man I was really hoping for a full remake of all the previous RE games with next gen graphics

Maybe it's just me... but I don't think it's fair that Capcom is giving us screen shots up an "upscaled" RE4 running on a BC PS3. I mean.... They should show us how the game looks played on an HDTV running on a PS2/GameCube. I mean, even playing RE4 on the GC on an HDTV doesn't look as blurry as the screens they're showing us.

A bit misleading... Eh, I'll still buy 'em.

I still can't wrap it around my head, why it takes so effin' long. They remade RE1, it was well received and people have been asking for a remake of RE2 ever since. It's guaranteed money. And so far, nothing. Not even as much as a rumor.

Then we have to make them get it. I say we get a replica of Thor's hammer, inscribe the words "Thou shall make a remake of Resident Evil 2. The fans demand it!" and then hurl it into the face of Capcom's CEO.

Hopefully you'll be at least able to unlock RE2&3 characters to use in other modes. That would be the closest to playing a RE2 remake as we'll ever get.

I also hope you can play regular Umbrella security forces. Just a guy like Hunk, no walking Tank or having cloaking technology.
