Yeah I don't have any inside sources or anything, but I think it will be all original footage. I just can't see Nolan giving us anything from the movie THAT early. I just don't think it will happen. But hey, "I've been wrong before." :word:

BOF is reporting that its the first five minutes of the movie. Since Jett's reporting it it must be true.

I'll take a written report from Nolan himself as evidence enough it will be the first five minutes.

Jett is most likely right on this one. It can't be the first 5 minutes of the movie... why would they release THAT almost 7 months prior to the movie coming out, and then make it the intro of the actual film? That would just be boring. We would have already seen it. This will be separate from the actual film, but obviously within continuity.

Nolan's smarter than that.

I'll also believe these white Batf**k "sonar lenses" when I see 'em.

White lenses?

Hong Kong?

I'm down for it. Bring it on.

Thank you.

Online high five to someone who thinks exactly like me.

Take it to the bank, ladies and gentlemen. This is a 7 minute short that will blow everyone away. It relates directly to TDK, but is not part of the film. Look up the definition of what prologue is in this context. A prologue is: an introductory scene, preceding the first act of a play, opera, etc. A prologue is an intro. Have any of you read a book; The prologue has nothing to do with the actual book, it's an intro.

I know who the person was that gave Jett the confirmation. This thing is gonna be original, and F'n sweet!

I don't usually say this but...LMAO! Talk about being owned. Too bad this ain't the last straw to kill Jett's popularity, poor fools will still believe any and everything he says, 90% of which is lies. Peteagassi should be eating a leather fedora right now. As for this news, I still won't take it as 100% confirmed, not yet. As I said before, much is contradictory, then again, there's the quotes.

White lenses? That sounds so gay! Im so glad that they didnt make him have perma white lenses. But, hmmm, first 5 mins of the movie? Idk if I wanna see that but its so freaking tempting

Do you read the comics?

i believe that it will be the first 5 minutes. They did something similar with spidey, tho its wasnt the first 5 minutes, it was close to that. i Think this Hong Kong thing could be something related to the Ra`s people..maybe

Because it's going to be IMAX-only, which is limited in its own right. How many people are actually going to go and see I am Legend in IMAX when they could just go see it in the regular theater?

Then there's the cost, which people keep forgetting. It's got to be real expensive to film IMAX. I can't see them doing that for something that's only going to be in IMAX theaters and on the DVD. (Which renders IMAX moot, as it only pertains the theaters. Not DVDs or home entertainment sets.)

Must every thread descend into a Jett-hate fest?
yes, because fanboys are a fickle bunch who don't appreciate somebody who tries to get as much info as possible to keep them entertained, even if some of his info is incorrect. The reason for that is that he posts all interesting news, whether or not it's official or not. He does this to keep giving fans news to break the monotony of having no real news. Personally, I prefer this.

The deal with HK is that Batman goes there to capture an accountant named Lau who has connections with Maroni, in order to help push Dent's case against him.

I like getting lied to and having my hopes up for false rumors.

And you really think no one is gonna bootleg this thing? I don't care if that's limited to Batfans/interwebz ppl or not... I just don't see it happening.

Well, that's even more to the point of cost so it even makes less sense. I can't see them saying, "Let's spend a serious amount of money so that everyone can see this for free on YouTube!"

After all, they were a huge fan of bootlegged vids for ComicCon.

Chucktallica101 and Solidus both hit the nail on the head, at least with respect to what I was thinking. The white lenses will probably be used for the Batpod, night vision, or thermal imaging. The one thing I like about sonar as part of the suit is that that is what bats use to fly and hunt so effectively.

ComicCon was one room, one place. This is multiple places at different locations.

Anyway, I still don't see it being the intro of the movie. Nolan gets to be the one to try these IMAX cameras out first, and the marketing for TDK has already been very inventive. Why wouldn't he be willing to try something new by shooting a prologue and give people a taste of what they're in store for when they see the other IMAX scenes in the film.
