I just found another GOOD reason to go see I Am Legend at IMAX (other, than the Dark Knight footage), and it is: I AM LEGEND!!! Did you guys see that new trailer that's on IGN!? Jesus Christ it looks good!

Ive seen the one where will smith has a bath, plays golf, walks his dog, then drives his car.

I'm not so sure I'm like the White lense sonar batman all too much. It seems too close to the gagetness of the Schumacher movies where the suit could do "everything" I'll hold judgment till I see it.

Defo, I don't like the sound of it at all, I hope they don't get carried away like you say.

The lenses bit worries me (I've never been a fan of that idea). But I'll reserve judgment until I actually see it in action.

I really like it that they´re not giving a "definitive" origin of Joker. As for the lenses, like everything else, it´s all in the execution. If they found a way to make it as effective as it is in comics while also using Bale´s looks - by being retractable - that´s awesome.

Ladies and gents.... let me add an opinion if I may.....

Whether this 5 or 7 minute IMAX thing is specially shot or the beginning of the movie matters not a jot to me.

CAUSE I'M IN IRELAND WHERE WE DONT HAVE FECKING IMAX!

*Ahem*

Needless to say as huge Batman fan who has been following this franchise since its inception I am slightly miffed that I will be denied the tease that the rest of you State siders have been afforded!

I unfortunatly will have to make do with trawling msg boards and youtube for blurrly reposts and second hand descriptions.....

DAMN YOU NOLAN!

(oh and and I'm a little iffy about the lenses. Shooting gauntlets, sonar eyes, a cape that does "something special", arent they kinda taking away from the Batman is just a hard ass in suit and making him Robocop/Power Ranger?)

Agreed. And Nolan seems to pretty consistently make pretty good choices. (Although a bath scene with Ra's was sadly missing from BB!)

Bla bla bla Another pic

Looks like he's got a little bit of white stuff in his eye there.

:wow:

that doesn't matter. it's going to be on non-IMAX screens as well. you won't miss anything.

Unfortunatly Mysterio we wont, not untill the actual release......

What you guys get over there trailer and preview wise is never the same over here, we get different previews played with different movies so even if they played the preview on non IMAX screens with I Am Legend we still wouldnt get to see it here with our prints of the movie

Unless it is in fact the first five mins of the movie and Ill see it in July

i thought you were complaining about not being able to see IMAX footage. you will.

Not even the ninja turtles can say Batman's eyes have never been accurately displayed in cinematic history? Disregarding the fact that you worded that wrong, I'll still offer a rebuttal.

TMNT had several shots of the turtles with solid white eyes, marking the first time in cinematic history the TMNT have been portrayed as "comic accurate." Though they've already achieved said look in the new animated series, but you did say cinema, so I won't go into that.

Firstly, there's this shot of Leo stalking Nightwatcher. Sure, he's pretty far away, but those eyes are solid white nonetheless.

So your thoughts now are "Well yeah, he's like 100 frickin' feet away. Pupils at that distance would be ******ed," which I guess you'd have gotten me there, but then why does Leo have solid eyes in the next shot and not in the last? (Though he's the same size/distance in both)

Hate to burst your bubble, but you really should check facts before making statements like that. Regardless of whether or not they're solid white throughout the entirety of the film, they ARE shown as solid white at some point, a clear nod to their darker comic counter-parts.
Are you really comparing a CGI movie to a live action one? In CGI you can do whatever you want as far as style goes. Live action, especially with the grit that Nolan had in BB, this would look very out of place. Having said that, I doubt NOlan would include it if it looked ******ed, so I'm a bit skeptical still, but not really worried.

well i'm not even convinced there is a five or seven minute trailer attached to I Am Legend. there has yet to be any confirmation about it, and even the German article is suspect. some lost in translation issues, for one reason. I think there is a lot of confusion and misunderstanding of the word "prologue".

If you take a look at Arkham is is pretty dam close, doesn't bother with white eye, I don't really think that it's that important, but Nolan will probably make it logical and subtle than than a super stylized look i think.

1. glad to hear joker won't be given an 'origin' story. still hope the disfiguration by bat cable is wrong. we will see. maybe.
2. white eyes under the cowl? cool, but no one should get too excited. it could be good/bad/so-so.
3. iron man will rock. if it doesn't, i'm throwing myself off a bridge in protest. blame favreau for my death. if ben affleck is killed in the fracas, so be it. but i'd rather have the writers of daredevil go down with him, tied to a long rope with the guy who butchered bullseye tethered to the end.
we all need dreams...

I'm already picturing it. The prologue will be the bank robbery. Hopefully Warner Brother's logo will just flash up and it'll go right into what appears to be a bank heist movie. (I'll bet this scene is just as good as any bank robbery scene in even a movie focused on heists.) People will be saying man this looks cool. All the sudden, it takes a twist. Joker starts blowing things out of control. He's kills a teller and beats the manager and starts talking to him, ultimately revealing himself in all his glory before laughing and killing the manager. Then black screen, bats fly on to make the Batman Logo and every else is surprised as hell. I've always liked those previews that lead you on to believe it is something else. For instance, Resident Evil Apocalypse had that trailer of the Umbrella company skin cream that seemed like a commercial for it at first, but then turned the model into a zombie and then cut to the title of the new movie. The movie wasn't very good but that was a very gnarly trailer.

awesome. i bet, hope, this is exactly what we get. classic, if slightly crazed , bank robbery, masks, double crosses... something goes wrong, one bankrobber steps out from the rest to orchestrate a dark game to amuse himself.... leading to many deaths, and the reveal of the insane murderous subhuman killer clown at the center of the chaos. ending with a sick joke only funny to the Joker, a wild glimpse of Heath in all his messed up glory, and then the batman logo. something like that, it will rock.

maybe it will end on Fichtner's bank manager's last sane glimpses of the Joker..as he quickly slips into madness, grinning insanity..( Joker has gassed him ) .. the screen goes into 3D, wild shapes, sounds, the bank robber becomes a distended demon jester....it ends with the Joker and the bank manager laughing manically together. cut to black.

OMFG! Don't give me this "Get your Facts Straight Before You Post" BS

Listen I know the The Stupid Ninja Turtles have had a MOVIE in which there Eyes were WHITE! But that movie was a F'N CGI CARTOON! Wasn't Live Action.

Jesuse F'n Christ, What I meant and obviously should have stated better....

THIS WILL MARK THE FIRST TIME BATMAN IN CINEMA HAS EVER HAD WHITE EYES AS INTENDED IN HIS FIRST INCEPTION.......

Not even a "LIVE ACTION VERSION MOVIE" of The Ninja Turtles could say that.

Who gives a crap about a CGI Turtles Movie??? of course they could make there eyes white easily its different with live action.

I wish you would get your facts straight before you try and bust someones balls again. :oldrazz:

Live Action - CGI

Two completely different Cinema Entities. That Turtles movie belonged on TV anyways

And a typical repsonse no less. It's not about proving you wrong, just don't say things that aren't true, or at least word your posts properly.

This will be the first time Batman will look "comic accurate" (in terms of eyes anyway), you're right. But don't randomly drag some other series into the mix like TDK is showing them up or something. It's not. The live action turtle movies came out in the nineties, which gave us Batfag and Rainbow. If given the choice between which film better adapted from the comics: TMNT I > Batman and Robin. And if TDK is showing up a movie thats 15 years old, good for them. The movie is 15 years old. If we haven't advanced at all in cinema since then, then that's just sad.

Wat do you mean tonite will be the night? Tonite will be the night when we get out "prize"? Not halloween?

Are you just guessing...?
