Happy New Years Everyone! This is the first year since 2013 that we get a solo film about everybody’s favorite extraterrestrial split curled big Blue Boy Scout so I thought just like I did with Batman and Spider-Man in anticipation of the big new movies in their respective franchises in the lead up for their highly anticipated installments I thought why not do it for the superhero for whom without the entire cape genre wouldn’t exist? Let’s discuss the Man Of Steel’s cinematic past - both the highs and lows.

The first one is the best. But even being the best, it can be improved.
I have sooo much hope for the new one.

Ps. Snyder versions are....well, I do not know how to say it: if the "real" Superman were like Snyder versions, I would not be a Superman fan.

I recently showed my husband the first Superman film with Christopher reeve and it’s just so magical. He had never seen it before (he grew up in Japan) but it’s just as inspiring for a new person in 2024 as it was in the 1970s.

The original is still my all time favorite superhero film. It's a masterpiece.
