The Rock of Ages Trailer and Poster Revealed

As a fan of 80's rock, I'm definitely intrigued by this movie despite the presence of Tom Cruise.

I saw this on Broadway and it was surprisingly so much better than I thought it was going to be. They even give you little pen-light "lighters" to hold up during the power ballads. :oldrazz:

Not sure if the movie will be as good since half the fun was hearing all of that music live...but it will still probably be worth checking out.

The Catherine Zeta Jones character is new, though. In the show it was a real estate developer who wanted to tear the street down and put up a strip mall.

please dont butcher the songs, please dont butcher the songs, please dont butcher the songs

doesnt look too bad, never been a fan of musicals but will definitely check this out

I love 80's hair metal, might have to check it out. It definitely looks interesting.

I saw this in Chicago last year, it was pretty good. However, that trailer didn't make me want to see the movie at all. I think it might be because of all the big names, I don't see the characters, just the actors.

The official Trailer!

I must say, this does look like alot of fun. And Juliana Hough is extremely hot, and this along with Footloose may make her into a real star post-DWTS. I might actually contemplate checking it out in theatre.

Seen the show A LOT of times on Broadway. It's really campy/cheesy fun. I adore it!

The trailer seems to have captured just that. Like Hunter said, zany fun. I can't wait. :)

i too love 80s rock so cant wait. Also trailer is down any other links to it.

I laughed the moment I saw how ridiculous Alec Baldwin looks. It should be really fun. Also I've always wanted to see Tom Cruise play a rock guy for some reason.

Written by Justin Theroux, who wrote Tropic Thunder. Should be hilarious.

Alec Baldwin with that 80's hair is both riduculous, hilarious, and awesome all at the same time.

Ya cool trailer. Looks fun and can't wait to see how all the 80s rock songs are used.

Nice to see Catherine Zeta-Jones involved with another Broadway-to-movie adaptation after Chicago.

I really loved the Hairspray remake (I didn't see the original until some time after) and this movie looks to have the same kind of energy, tone, and spark that that movie had.

The trailer looked really good and I expect it to do extremely solid numbers at the BO

Hairspray was fantastic, and I actually prefer it to not only the John Waters original, but to the Broadway show as well. For a PG family movie, it was damn hilarious, and I hope ROA has that same off the wall brand of humor.

As a fan of 80's rock, I'm definitely intrigued by this movie despite the presence of Tom Cruise.

I am starting to think people hate Tom just for the sake of it

Yeah, maybe...

I don't care about what Cruise does or thinks outside of the movies...and I don't get the people that care so much about it all. I've been pretty unphased by his so-called "antics".

New still..
