The Amityville Horror, The Fog, House of Wax, When A Stranger Calls, and The Omen didn't need to become part of the remake category.
So no, I am not ****ing kidding you.![]()

Haha, sorry if I came off as hostile, but what I meant is that the remake of The Omen is excellent. It's basically the original, but (for the most part) bigger and better. They brought in the original scriptwriter (he basically did a rewrite of his original script without changing much), so they didn't sully the original's legacy.
The original was brilliant and to be honest, it really didn't need to be remade. Remaking it was a terrible idea. It's just one of those cases where a bad idea produces a good result.
For the record, I liked the Amityville Horror remake (but I haven't seen the original, so I can't compare) and the TCM remake (also haven't seen the original and can't compare), but I hated the When A Stranger Calls remake (I'm way less compelled to see the original if it's anything like that crap; they took a good concept and shat on it).
