The Texas Chainsaw Prequel Trailer

Those who stated Omen, more than likely are stating that without even seeing the remake. Hey, some people just have preconcieved notions about remakes, even though they never even seen the film.

I've seen it, the same movie with slightly updated visuals(the visuals didn't need updating anyway), and a much more cliche'd version of Damian.

I like the original one's and I liked the remake with Jessica Biel.

This one looks pretty good.

What? The Omen? Are you ****ing kidding me?

The original Omen trilogy was a masterpiece. I love them very much and didn't think they needed to be remade.

The Amityville Horror, The Fog, House of Wax, When A Stranger Calls, and The Omen didn't need to become part of the remake category.

So no, I am not ****ing kidding you. :)

It looks like a remake of the remake that was made with Jessica Beil a few years back!! I hope not cause I love these films

This film takes place before Jessica Biel gets there.

My question still stands: aren't you interested in knowing the backstory of the characters from the remake?

Like, what is Leatherface's past? What is the story behind Sheriff Hoyt, Luda May and Henrietta?

No. Explaining them takes away the horror of the character. I find it creepier when there is a character that no one knows why they do what they do. Explaining Leatherface's background, along with the rest of the family would be stupid. They wouldn't be scary. Besides, this movie will probably give them that whole "They're just misunderstood" cliche explanation.

Backstory only works with characters that have established back story, like Batman.

i'd also like to point out that i HATED the remake. I didnt like the ending. I didnt like how they made the townsfolk weird from the get go either. That's what ruined it. In the original, the gas station dude was a nice guy, and them BAM! THE TWIST! In this movie, everybody's inbred looking and weird. Not to mention, you have the suicide chick in the begining. Everything was wrong with it. I hated it.

Well, I also hated it, but it seems to be very popular among the crowd here, just like Eternal Sunshine or Batman Begins.

And with enough creativity and thinking power, every character can have a backstory.

And with compelling, iconic characters like Leatherface, it's always interesting to know their past and origins.

with enough creativity and thinking power, every other movie dished out by hollywood wouldnt be a remake.

It would be interesting, but i wouldnt prefer a blatant explanation done in a rehash of the original film. Subtley hint at backstory. Don't give it all away. And that's only if they really feel the need.

I still dont agree with explaining why characters are the way they are, unless it's been done so already prior to establishing the character

I never meant to hurt you. I'm just saying that between an overrated "bombshell" w/ little to no figure and a degree of talent to match and a roided out ******, your opinion of anything is all but moot. You also liked the remakes of The Fog and House of Wax which doesn't really help your case.

LOL! l'm joking. can't you tell whn some one is being sarcastic?

i heard there onluy allowed to show the trailer on the offical website from the following hours 10pm to 4am and there only allowed to show the trailer in front of R Rated movies only. i heard that's what the MPAA said.

You know, J ALba Lover is right.

For example: everyone here puts "Batman Begins" in a friggin pedestal and lsay it's the be all end all of Batman movies.

However, I HATE it. And guess what? No matter how much you say it's perfect, it's not gonna change my opinion on it.

About this movie: yes, it's a crappy idea. But there's always one or two infidels that actually LIKED the awful remake and want to see more of it.
