As we are all aware of, Halle Berry recently made a statement to the fans saying that if we want another X-Men film we need to send letters to Tom Rothman telling him so. As a fan I want more than anything to see my favorite mutants on screen, even if it were for one last time, and I am sure most of you would agree. This thread is for everyone who has already sent a letter/e-mail or is planning to. As a fan I am curious to see what others have to say on the matter, so feel free to share your letters with us..
NOTE: This is not a Halle/Hugh/Tom/Brett/whoever bashing thread. This is a thread for us fans to discuss and share the letters we have written and sent in to Fox in a civil manner.
NOTE TO MODS: I wasn’t sure whether to put this in the sequels forum or here. Feel free to move it if you feel it necessary.
Dear Mr. Tom Rothman,
I am a big fan of the X-Men comics and an even bigger fan of the movies. I consider all three films to be one of my favorite trilogies off all time. But I must say that I have never liked the word trilogy. One of the biggest disappointments for us fans during the production of X-Men: The Last Stand was knowing that it would be the last movie. I am writing to you today because I, like most fans, know that this series can go further. There are lots more stories to tell, and you have an amazing cast that is willing to help tell them.
As Avi Arad once said, the X-Men are bigger then just one person, and I believe that character is Wolverine. If Hugh Jackman cannot commit to another movie then I believe that the X-Men can still survive without him. There are still many beloved characters left, along with others who have yet to be introduced like Emma Frost and Gambit. Halle Berry is more than willing to come back as Storm, and now that her character is in charge of the school there are so many places for her character to go. The new characters introduced in X3 like Beast, Angel and Kitty Pride have so much more that needs to be seen on screen, so I ask you to consider giving them a chance. If there is one thing that X3 showed it’s that the audience is still there, and they want more X-Men.
We the fans will not give up on our favorite mutants, and I personally hope you wont either. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
From the biggest X-fan,
Jon Paul Morales
