I can't watch Dan review anything he puts me to sleep lol. But hey if that is their opinions. It is what it is, soon we will all see.

Seems Dan and Roth from Screenjunkies were not the biggest fans.

Tbh that Dan was harsh, on the movie from the get go. He was complaining how he didn't buy into Larson from the trailers, and said he just doesn't see it. Even after the special looks, plus he gave venom fresh, which imo is terrible but each to their own.

Speaking of "review bombing", the incels have now moved to downvoting positive reviews on Youtube(Gamesradar, IGN). Except John Campea for some reason. Maybe they're afraid he'll make a video of it.

I think he just liked Venom more than other critics did.

Going to be interesting to see if this can stay in the 80s as most of the reviews seem kinda lukewarm and the 3/5 reviews aren't breaking as fresh at a rate we normally see with other MCU films. Feels a bit like watching IM3 and GOTG2's reviews come in.

From the negative reviews and some of the positive ones, it seems the film's attempt at subverting the origin story by telling it with flashbacks is not as well-executed as it could be and it somewhat hinders some of the more resonant and poignant emotional moments in Carol finding herself (especially in the 1st act of the film.) Also seen some say the cinematography and color palette isn't as distinct as other MCU films, giving it a somewhat muddled, ho-hum look.

By how things are going, it's looking very likely that this movie will end up with a lower score than that of Ant-Man and the Wasp on both RT and Metacritic.

AM&tW wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special either. I hope Captain Marvel is better

Looking like at worst it will come in at the high 70s but I think it will stay in the low to mid 80s. Pretty good.

Convoluted stories are my jam. I loved Crimes of Grindelwald, and that was torn apart by critics for being convoluted.

Hyper Heroes liked it, had some qualms we've heard before but say they need a 2nd viewing to truly see where it lies. They mention it tries to do some interesting things other origins don't do.
