Captain Marvel The Rotten Tomatoes/Critic's Reaction Thread

Let's see, takes like, 10 seconds to set up a free yahoo, gmail, or other email account, another 30 to register "Man-Baby682290002" as a screenname, and another few seconds to click the movie and down it...yeah, more than likely.

They probably used the same accounts from the last time they got all "Spartacus" about a movie that hurt their feelings.

*cough*The Last Jedi*cough*

All online votes should be IP locked. Can't vote from the same address.

They killed a lot of bots, LOL! Literally, that number was in the 58k range just like an hour ago. So this movie has had 54k votes removed on the audience rating. That's insane.

And here I was thinking there was a small town in Wyoming or something with 58K people who were all sadistic Brie-haters who had united despite their cultural differences to oppose their mortal enemy...

My life...has been a lie!!!!

(wow, I hope everyone took that as a joke)

Super pathetic. Like go outside. Get a burger or something. Talk to another human being. Anything that doesn't include being online.

Seriously. Do people really have the time to constantly make new accounts and give it a poor rating? I had two accounts linked and gave it 5* ratings to try and do my part, but I really hope they delete more troll ratings

I understand why, but even using 2 votes is technically wrong.

If I think this movie is a 4, I'm not going to give it a 5 because I'm trying to fix a system.

Note: I'm not saying that's why you gave it a 5.

Do they really manually do it that way? I'd imagine there's probably software and bots out there now that automates that. And it's probably by only a few individuals.

2 votes is nothing compared to what others have been doing. Plus, I only voted once on the website and another time on the Flixster app

I wonder if they actually did do an IP check.

True. It probably is mostly bots

Based on previous MCU films' review totals and where CM currently stands, there could be as many as 100 potential reviews still to come in. That means the score could still change +/- 2%, meaning it could be a real tough slog to remain at 80% or better.

You ARE insist that people eat things that could possibly go against their dietary restrictions?! RAGE!!!!!!

The outside is a dangerous place! It's probably better they stay inside....(less chance of them breeding that way).

This review bombing thing has come along way since TDK fans tried getting fans to downvote the Godfather lololol who remembers that?

To this day, Shawshank Redemption is #1 on IMDB because of it.

I do hope that RT will go through and delete all the reviews that mention Brie Larson's comments on race/gender. Those are clearly troll posts and have nothing to do with the film. I wish people would put aside politics and entertainment. Not everything has to be political, I think especially today people are looking for a break from everything being politicized. Not to say that there shouldn't be films that focus on important issues (i.e. Shindler's list, Philadelphia, etc.), but a comic book film like this should be a place that we just unwind and enjoy.
Just gonna leave this here...
