It is above where Godzilla was at this point which was at the mid 80s when it got to 35 reviews.

This film won't go below 85% now. I don't see that happening at this point. With the reviews already out, it's more than enough to judge that this is a true keeper. It's based on 37 reviews already, whereas only 2 are "bad". That's a_LOT. And I also think it'll stay at 90% - being optimistic about it... There's absolutely nooo reason, what so ever, to be scared here. This is a winner.

The thing about this movie is it just feels so epic, there's an emotional depth in the movie that really makes it memorable and unique. and the good things easily outweigh the problems of the movie.

why would you do that with X-men at 82 and both X2 and FC at 87 and reviews
calling best since X2 or best film in series.

A few people have said that yes. The majority hasn't seen the film yet.

Are you being pessesmistic or a realist :D?

Realist. Times are a changin, and I just see a lot of people having problems with this film. If even I had problems with the film, the biggest X-Fan I know, then I can absolutely see more hatred incoming toward this flick. These early reviews aren't as "rave" as many are claiming. A lot of them will be borderline rotten, if not rotten.

with Amazing Spider-man 2 and Man of Steel ending in the 50's anything is possible in my book. Nobody should rely on these reviews IMO.

With all of that being said, you guys shouldn't put so much stock in RT (or any reviews for that matter). I say 77% and I get several replies asking why lol. Oh I don't know, because I don't care, I said a random number and I could see it getting that score in the end. lol. *shrug* Your all seeing it anyway, if this film was getting a 50% on RT I wouldn't be ANY LESS excited if I were you, especially considering the latest trends. Reviews hold too much power over people.

You've seen it already???:huh::yay:

Wow, seems like this has a great chance of staying above 90%, the only thing is there's only 3 top critic reviews, but so far they all look good.

The Playlist is also important for metacritic so double win.

And it sounds like Travers will give it a positive review since Fox is using him in their new ads.

(I mean this in a nice way) You're an active participant on the RT reviews thread even though you've already seen the film ages ago! All the evidence points to you caring more than most. :woot:

Im an active participant in every single thread where there is good discussion in this forum. So yes I do care about X-Men and everyone here, But Ive never posted a review from some website or magazine on here. nor do I care about the actual reviews on RT lol.

and given the fact that I already have seen the film, reviews and scores didn't effect my viewing. So I can participate in this thread as much as I want. RT isn't making me care anymore than I already have for the past 14 years lol.

Just trying to let people know about overblown expectations and to not rely on reviews. Many of you might end up hating the film for one reason or another, and/or I don't want anyone to be disappointed because its not a "94%" movie to them. :whatever:. Like I said, folks(not particularly here but other places too) just take too much stock in RT and reviews in general!

Seeing the movie, I don't think its worthy of a 77% rating. Heck the score for Iron Man 3 is even higher than that and I don't think that film is better than DOFP.

DOFP is also better than X-Men 1. So I don't think it will go lower than 80%.

If The Playlist and Devin Faraci like the film then it should be in pretty good shape. I realize neither are raving about it, but those are the two reviews I expected to lambast the film.

And back up to 7.5! Looks like a top critic as well.

yes, it seems like 3/4 is the going rating.

I thought it was flawless IMHO!! And I nit pick films to death. the cinematography was stellar and the camera work was something different. Loved the audio work as well.

Loved the camera work. Series best, in my opinion. Some gorgeous shots.
