Alright I'm leaving. Have fun! ;)

Yah, I remember doing the same thing for Man of Steel and TDKR, but those movies didn't have the number of raving reviews compared to this - so it just adds to the excitement!

Agree on MOS but completely disagree on TDKR it got more critical acclamied than DOFP.

I am doing division problems trying to figure how many fresh reviews are needed for the percentage to go up.

Another negative added, but seems like it's finally taking more than one to drop the percentage.

I think people need to give up on the 90's.

There are just too many contrarian reviewers these days.

Negative reviews for great movies are very effective click bait.

Actually...it's not impossible for it to stay in the 90s.

The Wolverine got a decent amount of reviews at one point (roughly where we are now with DOFP) and it kept fluctuating between 67%-69%.

I'm pretty certain now DOFP will end up somewhere between 90%-92% fresh. We're almost to 100 reviews. And I'm pretty sure we have more positive reviews that've yet to be added; same with the negatives I'm sure.

Are Joblo and Collider on RT? They've given great reviews and have yet to be added.

This isn't really a new thing. It has been happening since film criticism has existed. The films with near perfect records on RT, are those that have been reviewed years down the line. When the films are established classics looked back on with nostalgic views.

One review gave 2/4 and it's negative but another review gave it 2/5 but its positive WTF?
Thats rotton tomatoes system for you

That isn't a Rotten Tomato thing. That is a critic thing. They decide on whether it is listed as positive or negative, not the site.

The reviewer chooses whether their review is ultimately considered fresh/rotten when they enter it into RT so it's not the websites fault.

I could be wrong but I think the critics themselves tell RT if their review should be considered positive or negative.

Yep that took me a long time to realize. For instance, they may give a movie 3/5 stars, but they were extremely disappointed in it for some reason (X3) and their review ended up being "rotten" not "fresh."

It is all about the scale. For Roger Ebert, his "fresh"/"good movie" rating ended with 3/4 stars.

I try not to follow RT for these things...but at this point, every time they add a rotten review, I want to find out who they are and curse them out for a little while. :argh:

I know, opinions suck. :hehe:
