Wouldn't be an Armond White review without a ridiculous quote like that lol

Thanks guys. But all I really did was get bored and check Rotten Tomatoes a lot xD

So did i. Difference is that I'm too lazy to contribute so credit where credit is due. Thanks for not being lazy.

Eh, White's always Trump-ish with the negative reviews for movies he decides to write for. Don't worry about him too much.

Luckily once White's Rotten review is counted, it'll only need 13 more reviews to get back to 94%.

Just saw it.

Don't care about the RT score as much.

The movie is incredible in my book.

The movie made my proud as ever to be a Spider-man fan. Nuff said.

Well said Messiah! The days of Spider-Man on top are back. Feelings from 2002 resurfacing. I hope it can beat SM3's box office to be the biggest Spider-Man movie.

An exercise in diminishment. Feels like like one of the smallest and most inconsequential Marvel films yet. - Sean Burns

I'm not invested in reviews so much now that I've seen it and loved it, but he gave every MCU movie this and last year, WW, Logan and Rogue One rotten reviews and then a fresh one to Apocalypse(???)

So if 88 of its next 92 reviews can be fresh it would be at 94 on the dot after 300 reviews. If 87 of its next 92 reviews it would be 94 by rounding up. If 86 of its next 92 are fresh it would be rounded down to 93.

Thinking it will finish at 92. Logan was at that for a while until very recently.

Thanks for all your work in this thread iE. It's much appreciated by everyone.

Co-sign.

What the actual ****

Really glad that this is going to end in a very good number.

The next MCU film is always the first failure. You'd think people would just assume every MCU film will be good and make decent money.

Being fair, this time there was actually some plausible reason for concern: Sony's involvement. There was always the legitimate fear that Sony would find some way to screw everything up.

Like the kid who's too eager to play with his model car after his Dad puts it together. It looks just like the picture on the box so he's lickin' his chops to get at it. 5 minutes later a wheel is ripped off and the decals have been scraped off...

Perfect analogy!

I think this has a good chance to end at 93. After 211 reviews now if out of the next 89 reviews 85 are fresh it would be at 94 but that may be a little to much to ask for. Now if out of the next 89 reviews 82 are fresh it would still be at 93. So in less we get 8 or more rotten out of the next 89 it will not drop to 92 or lower. I think that is pretty realistic.

Simply beautiful. Well deserved. My favorite Spidey film and possibly my favorite CBM, although I want to see it a few more times to really make that statement. I certainly felt as much joy as I did in The Avengers and Vol. 2

I never expected this to end up in the 90s but now that it has and after finally getting to see it, SMH truly deserves that rating. What a great feeling to see Spidey back in a solid movie once again.

Definitely a huge reward for Spidey fans, especially the ones who had faith in the film from the start. Tom Holland and Jon Watts are revelations!

I think this reviewer missed the whole point of the ferry scene.

The biggest insult is that Iron Man steals what could be Spider-Man's best moments. In previous Spider-Man movies, there's a scene when good New Yorkers step in to save their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man from peril—with the usual shot of an American flag, elevating hometown pride into full-fledged patriotism. But in a scene that sees Spider-Man saving commuters onboard the Staten Island Ferry (with the Statue of Liberty in full view in the background!), Iron Man flies in to save the day and steal the thunder. Spider-Man's feel-good New York moment is stolen from him.

Apparently not. Stark had 4 scenes in a 2 hour movie, at most 5 minutes.
