...idk guys...he was obviously ok with what happened to him in Wolverine...or at least accepted it.

What's wrong with acting like a reasonable professional? XMO: Wolverine is not a Deadpool movie. There's no way you can focus on a main character AND on everyone else at the same time; especially not on someone as spotlight-stealing as DP. I get it why he had to be introduced in a Wolverine film, with Weapon X and everything, though.

As far as facts go, Deadpool is Schrödinger's katana-wielding, mouthy cat, and the box hasn't been opened yet. He can live, he can die, he can be a pool of powers (Powerpool :whatever:), or he can be DP as we know him.

Also, you can keep Deadpool relatively comics-accurate and allow Reynolds some face time with an image inducer. Personally, I wouldn't like that, but it is an option.

Good point with the image inducer. I actually think there could be great scenes with that.

Maybe Deadpool has to go undercover in a male modeling agency to do a merc job or something, spoofing Zoolander. Have Reynolds on a modeling shoot then the inducer malfunctions or something. Could make for hilarious results :D

Hey Ace, is there any Deadpool comics that dive into Wade's past? So far it showed a bit in Wolverine Origins vol 4 I think and a small bit with Vanessa in the classics.

What part of his past man? If you want the origin story get Deadpool/Death.

There is some flashbacks in Cable and Deadpool issue 19.

And if you are talking about before his solo series started then get The Circle Chase and the 1994 mini.

Why is it that people who make these movies don't like having anyone wearing a mask? Agent zero, Deadpool and others would make more sense wearing masks...cause they are a SECRET team. why show their faces? Makes no sense

That's a good point. But when it comes to Deadpool he only ever wore a mask to hide his horribly disfigured face. He hasn't got to that stage yet.

Marketability, its the name of the game man. You have a cast full of really hot actors, if they cover their faces they loose those who came to see them because of those pretty faces, their not got lose any fans because they didn't wear masks. Its a money game bro, I consider us lucky to have a Wolverine movie at all, I mean we've only been waiting 20 plus years.

exactly right. if they cover the faces of the actors they lose their face marketability. with the faces showing it will attract more of the general audience. while deadpool should have his mask on for at least 90% of his film, i doubt the studio would cover reynolds' face up for that much. sucks i know but what are you gonna do :csad:

As Deadpool he'd be scarred all over anyway. So it's not like you could market his pretty face. So they could just as well have him wear the mask pretty much all the time. The mask should at least stay on during the final battle.

Dude they will do the same thing they always do, use all of the shots that he does show his face in the trailors. Everyone who wants to see it because they think Reynolds is hot will take one look at the trailor and not think twoce about him wearing a mask most of the film. These games are easy for big studios.

And when the audience notices he is only in the film for 10 minutes...

Jackie Earle Haley conveyed great emotion through an emotionless sock over his face. So there ya go.

Yea If I was a actor I would love the opportunity to do something like that. It would be a great challenge.

But why would he have white eye balls? It wouldnt work on screen. It'd look silly.

He wouldnt wear spandex anyway.

Why would he have white eyes anyway? Whats the purpose. And calm down.

I think the eyelenses are explainable, he hides his entire skin because he's scarred. If you could see is eyes, you could also always see the scarred eyelids.

I couldnt buy it. Little things like that would annoy me.

Plus, I'd rather have a DP mask like the ones in the new comics...with the stiches and what not.
all they would have to do is get reynolds to wear a green mask and and lenses and expressions with cgi. sorta like what they did with rorsach

How to turn Ryan Reynolds Scarlet
By Ramin Setoodeh | NEWSWEEK
Published Apr 18, 2009
From the magazine issue dated Apr 27, 2009

Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." He spoke to Ramin Setoodeh.

Have you seen "Wolverine"?
I have not. I don't think anyone on this Earth has seen it, except for the director and a handful of studio types.

And the million people who saw the bootlegged version online.
That was not the finished product. That was a travesty.

Is Hugh Jackman the only mutant with a nude scene?
It's a prerequisite—you have to show off your mutant berries is what they told us. No. I think Hugh is probably the only nudie. I don't remember taking my pants off. I do have a faulty memory, though.

What's next for you?
I'm faced with a couple months to myself. I have to reinvent that part of my life, I've been working for 15 months straight. My first plan is to go on a motorcycle trip in the summer. To go to a place called the Top of the World Highway in northern Canada.

By yourself?
No. I'm going with my brother.

Where do you stay?
That's kind of the fun. You either camp or stay in a lodge.

Does the missus ride?
No. Not that I'm aware of.

She's not going to come?
Uh ... I, I, I, I, don't know. We'll see. I'm not sure. What's your next question?

Sorry, I know you don't like talking about your personal life.
No. I don't mind talking about my personal life. I just don't get into great detail about my relationship, that's all.

But you're married now [to Scarlett Johansson]. Correct?
Yes. I am.

How's everything going?
Fantastic.

Your next movie is called "The Proposal," so I imagine people will ask how you proposed.
I'm sure.

Do you want to get it over with?
No. I'm not quite ready for it. I have to come up with the solid party line.

I saw video on TMZ of you being chased on your motorcycle.
Most of those guys on TMZ are idiots. Actually, I wouldn't call them idiots, because that's doing a disservice to idiots all over the world. They're whatever's worse than that. I feel more sorry for them than anything.

Because they're so mean?
I don't know if it's being mean, than being utterly moronic. There's a quality of somebody that must have been deeply hurt, to become so immature and to have such an unloved soul that they would choose a profession like that. It's incredible.

Hhaha he is a funny bastard. Just abused those TMZ muppets.

No new info though, I hope the Hype's questions include a couple of mine when they do the interviews :D

Well I'm not sayin they never take off masks...but have it in combat at least

Yea but why would plain old Wade Wilson have a mask? The only reason he wears a mask in the comics is because his face looks like silly putty after the experiments.

But seriously....unless they change this ending....There's no way they can bring him back in a spin-off. Kind of like I'm wondering how they will do that Venom spin-off. After he blew up in SM 3....it can't be Eddie Brock?

He'll wear a mask so no one can ID him in combat and trace him back to the SECRET GOVERNMENT program he's working for. I think that would be a good reason.

:hehe: You think DPs end in this can be compared to Venoms? :hehe:

Venom got vaporized, turned to dust. Deadpool has been through much worse. Hell, he has had his head exploded before and still grown it back somehow. Yea that is in the comics but what I'm saying is that it isn't out of character for Deadpool to come back from the dead. That is pretty much how he was born. Got killed as the experimented on Wade Wilson, was reborn as Deadpool. Maybe you should do a bit of research before you start making claims like that.

And anyway, with all the buzz that has started up over a DP film recently, I'd say as long as this film doesn't completely bomb, a Deadpool film is inevitable at this point.

How is anyone gonna trace them? They would have killed everyone.

You think real life mercenaries run round with masks? Na...most of the time they just look like standard soldiers.
