The Sarah Connor Chronicles

So I re-watched the Pilot on my dvd portable player last night:D. I admit there were parts - especially the other two episodes that followed, made me go 'omg...' 'haha'. you know, there were some cheesy funny parts in it but I think the third episode, which I watched really early this morning at around 6:00 AM, it got serious enough to make me stick around with it. I did watch the second episode after the Pilot but I passed out and missed 15 mins of it so when I woke up just after 5:30, I went back to finish watching that episode before I got to the third one.

So far, with the way the series has gone through and what I've watched, I like it. I never thought Lena Headey could potentially pull it off as Sarah Connor in a way that Linda Hamilton had done in the previous two movies. She really made the role her own and thats really something you don't see all the time, especially when it comes to how iconic the Terminator franchise and the characters has become over several decades.

Im not really a fan, but I grew up watching T2 a lot with my bro so that movie is burned into my mind cause I remember it so vividly as to what happens and who is in it from start to finish. The reason I watched the first film was to refresh my memory of what happened in it.

I watched/listened to the commentary of the third episode - the one with Lena and the dude who plays John- oh and the writer Josh. lets just say, and I mean for those who have heard the commentary, I find them to be hilarious but at the same time: interesting. Even though there were times where they joked around, they still y'know discussed and went into detail of how they did each scene and also explained why they shot this the way they did. Stuff like that. Its interesting but hey, it doesn't hurt to have a bit of fun too. hehehe. Lena was hilarious. Her accent on the show is pretty amazing.

Oh and by the way, I had two dreams and Lena was in it and a bunch of terminators were too. It was scary stuff but it was a bit f***ed up. lols.

were the terminators having sex with Lena?

Uh...no. lol. Very funny. First dream was weird, I can't remember much. I remember Sarah and John were in this house and it was really dark. I stood near Sarah and I was always near her cause my role, I guess was to protect her and all I remember is following her through a hallway with John in the lead.

Second dream was... well a little scary. I found myself in this unpleasant place and it was kinda like a pit. Though, I felt like I had a similiar dream like it where I was in this stoned pit and there was a cage. Well, yeah. It was the same setting but when I entered the pit, there were a bunch of odd people and Sarah (Lena) was among them and she looked straight at me before fading into the background. Curious as to what the ppl were looking at, there was a box like cage (big) and there was someone inside it. Actually it was more than one person but I crept closer and I saw her turn towards me and it was...Sarah (Lena). I looked back to the crowd...and looked back at her and my mind was... confused. lol. Two Sarahs in one dream. Makes an interesting plot. Which one was the real one? Well, I went over to the other side of the cage and crawled inside to pull her out. At that time, it was revealed that the crowd of ppl were actually terminators disguised as homeless ppl. As the terminators approached, the real sarah and I found ourselves trapped and then I woke up.

terminator sex with Lena was far more interesting

meh, you know, James Cameron cut out Kyle from T2 theatrical release for a reason. Because the scene was horribly cheese infested...

then they base an entire episode on the exact same concept. Not impressed

true...but the main reason it was cut out was because CAmeron believed that the movie, while being a sequel, should be able to be watched by itself, as in, you shouldn't have to watch the original to see T2.

Um...I dunno about that. I havn't had any of those yet but I think its odd that since I've only watched the first three episodes last night, I've had two dreams already. Odd man.

Whats Terminator sex like? Ever had a dream about one? er...

By the way, I love the soundtrack. I listened to it on my way to work - so awesome.

That was exactly how I found it.

The first episode left me wondering why anyone would want to make a series that just re-treads the same story line as the movies. But with each subsequent episode, I became more and more impressed. The second series isn't quite as good (mainly due to the casting of Shirley Manson) but it's still better than almost any other SciFi show currently on TV. (BSG excepted, of course!)

I'm assuming they have 'detailed files'

So... it pretty much goes down hill from there then considering theres a floater going around that the show may get cancelled. That sucks.

I've been having strange vibes lately since I started watching the series. Part of me believes I've seen it before and I am sure I have but...the dreams I had a few nights ago are evidence that probably gives proof that I have. I dunno. Im about to watch the last episode and I really like the series.

Just a thought occurred to me now, I probably rented it once. *shrugs* The other part of me thinks I watched it on t.v when the show first aired. After typing all this, I feel I have written this post before... geez! Do I have ESP or something?

I'm assuming they have 'detailed files'

What?

Well just look, I've been 'round longer than you.

I've been on..."sabbatical" for almost a year and a half. Not very active lately, but this week I've dropped in a few times...I'm "in the know" about most people on here.

Anyway, Season 1 was cut short by the writers strike, yeah? Well, Fox only produced 9 of Josh Friedman's 13 planned episodes. So when they started on Season 2, they began by basically completing the planned 4 episodes that would have ended Season 1. Get it?

Oh. I remember you. I was DarknessofDeath and I wish I stayed with it cause it was so original.

I remember the writers strike and this show was one of many - OH noes! SUmmer!! :( oookay...I just got deja vu.

So technically the first four episodes and I mean if it weren't for the writers strike, those four episodes would have been part of season 1 so season 2 pretty much picks up where the 9th episode left off. Right?

Exactimundo

It was weak sauce in the ratings on its first Friday last week. Sad times are headed this way. :(

Enjoy the show while it lasts.

That sucks. :( I work late tomorrow evening and same next Friday. damn. Im on season 2 now. I think I have seen this episode. Aw man. This creeps me out entirely. The last few days have been... I dunno..weird.

Worst ep of the ENTIRE series..but the last scene was

someone should slap the F/X artist... the scale of that floaty thing is all off. On second it looks the size of a 747, next second, it's small enough to fold up and fit in the bakc of a truck.

I only saw the last segment... and I think I got most of the information about the episode, go figure.

the last 10 mins...friggin awesome...wow.

So what are the Connors gonna do about "that"
