The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I do agree about Cameron. She does sort of feel unnecessary at this point. Derek, John, and Sarah are all much more interesting and very much carrying the show while she's just along for the ride now.

I'd say that Derek and John are more interesting... Sarah I have no interest in other than her breasts, same with Jessie. CamRon has no purpose, so she's useless, but she is far more interesting than Sarah to me.

Personally, I think this show would have worked much better, had the team of goodies been 'unrelated' to JC and SC. Ie. a seperate team of people, who are also dealing with terminator temporal incursions. Something like the Secondary Objectives comic book.

I'd say that Derek and John are more interesting...

I really really liked that episode when Derek and John joined the Army school thing, and Derek was teaching those guys and then took out a terminator, and they had flash forward, that was pretty cool!

More Derek i say!

Yeah, Derek's easily the most interesting character, yet he's kept as a secondary character. Although, to the writers' credit, they have been integrating Derek more into the episodes this season than they did last season.

I know right... I think sarah should die of cancer soon.... John should run off because he'll be safer on his own... and Derek should take over as the chief of trying to stop skynet.

That'd be pretty ballsy, to kill off the character the show's named after. Too ballsy for Fox.

I don't think the show will make it till May, Fox is just sharpening their knives waiting to cut it off so they can make more reality crap. I'm disappointed that some people are overly critical of too many scripted genre shows now. 10 years ago, people would love to have these kind of big budget genre shows, I think a lot of fans are too picky for their own good. But that is a whole other topic that I would like to address soon.

it's not about being picky... it's about evolution. Of course people 10 years ago would want a show like this... but guess what, it's not 10 years ago is it.

ie. Today we have BSG, 10 years before BSG, we had ST: TNG. Both good shows for their times, but BSG is way better than TNG.

I'm on Episode 14... So far...I like it. For the most of the episodes - its gotten kinda weird but eh, I'm used to weirdness, strangeness and awkwardness. Am I the only one?

I hope that Fox doesn't cut it off. I have a feeling that this show may last for another season but who knows. I've been getting strange vibes for almost a week now as if I've already seen the show. I knew it the moment I bought season 1 on DVD but it just had to evolve around Lena and Terminator.

I can't explain it any better than that. Of all the things that have happened last week, it feels like those things have happened before. 2008/2009 - I think have overlapped each other. I dunno.

I'd say that other than the S1 finale, that was the best episode of the series (minus the short budget ending of course)

I have loved every eppy of this show....until the last two weeks. Seriously, this is what we get after a 2 month wait??! They haven't been awful but the writers have just been treading water, it seems. Given that we are coming to the end of the season ( and likely the series) I was expecting new Terminator assaults on the Conners, possibly via the T-1001. No dice so far and Cameron has been a non-entity.

They really do need to get the Conners and Weaver in a room together before the show ends.

^^ apparently THAT will happen.

This is from Josh Friedman blog...beware spoiler alert!

So here are my campaign promises. And because I’ve already shot the episodes, I know they’re promises I’ll be keeping… by the end of the season you will see/know:
–the resolution of the Riley story
–the resolution of the Jesse story
–a future story about Jesse’s Terminator–piloted nuclear submarine explaining how Jesse got to be how she got to be and how it relates to John Connor’s present and future
–the return of Cameron’s glitch in new and deadly ways
–much more Jameron (for those of you who like it)
–not too much Jameron (for those of you who don’t)
–an explanation of the three-dots
–Catherine Weaver’s backstory/origin story
–Savannah in mortal danger
–the revelation of Catherine Weaver’s exact mission
–a fight between Catherine Weaver and another Terminator
–a faceoff between Sarah Connor and Catherine Weaver
–a deadly attack on the Connors by agents of Skynet
–the death of a loved one
–the death of a loved one
–the death of a loved one

You need to surround your post with the [SPOILERS] tag, instead of the
tag.

Other than that, awesome revelations there. Looks like they plan on moving things along. I just hope they don't make it feel rushed.

I just don't understand why they have to pack it all into the last few episodes of the season?

From what i understand, they're operating under the impression that this might very well be the last season, so they're wrapping things up.

just makes me think, had they spread the narratives out over the season, rather than make them all move at the end of the season, the show may survive longer... you know what I mean?

and what the hell is going on with the quoting in this thread?

They probably just expected to have more time to spread the storylines.

the bad ratings probably made them hopes for the best but prepares for the worst. That is why they're hurrying the resolutions of their storylines.

what I was meaning was more along the lines, if they hadn't spread them out as much... then the series would be much healthier now... and less watered down with what I'm going to call irrelevant detail.
