The Sarah Connor Chronicles

Plus, for everyone that isn't out on Fridays, cable more often offers better programming than the networks. Before T:SCC came on Fridays, the only show I would ever watch when home were cable: Survivorman, Man vs. Wild, HBO, FX, etc...

Yeah. Like I said, the audience for drama shows is pretty small on Fridays, and however much there was has been locked up by CBS for a pretty long while. For TSCC to pull the kind of numbers on Fridays that it was doing on Monday, it would have to pull in new viewers from CBS, and I don't see that happening. Fox needs to get the show on a better night.

I like your avvy, but I always wonder why Sarah is a Terminator. :woot:

Well...maybe if there is a season 3, Skynet sends a Sarah Terminator look a like to the past to kill the real Sarah...but first she has to get through to Ellison. Then there would be a showdown between Sarah and the Sarah Terminator. Oh man. That would be something lol.

Thats how I got the idea from. heh. I know it won't happen. Though it is interesting if someone goes a long with it. lol.

Wow. :woot:

lol. Another thing I just thought of. If Savannah's life is still on the line and Sarah is looking after her, you know, making sure she is safe, then the reason Skynet sends a Sarah look-a-like Terminator is to hunt Savannah. Savannah wouldn't probably notice the difference straight away when Sarah termy shows up. "Your back so soon...?" Savannah asks. Then Ellison shows up and says almost the exact same thing. "That was fast...I thought you said you'd be gone for only a few hours." He'll know something is up.

Next you know, the real Sarah would show up and lets just say, yeah... these two will start blowing stuff up to bring the other one down. lol. :hehe:

records are **** in the future....I don't think Skynet would know what Sarah looks like...Arnold just killed every Sarah Connor in the phone book

True...what about the picture of Sarah with the dog? lol.

Well anyway, it was just an idea. I mean, you had an Ellison Terminator in season 2 show up at the real Ellison's house...but Cromartie showed up and killed the terminator right in front of Ellison. So anything could happen but that bit there kinda puzzled me. "Oh oh...two Ellison's. What now!?!"

I doubt Savannah would be with Sarah. Ellison's too responsible and noble to just leave her be after her 'mother' abandoned her. He'll take her in because she has no one else, even if Sarah for whatever reason decides to take an interest in her. Ellison wouldn't trust Sarah enough to keep Savannah safe, especially since she's a high profile fugitive now.

Come to think of it, could Ellison suddenly be finding himself in charge of ZeiraCorp?

That is a good question about Ellison running the company I can't really see why not.

Or they could sign Linda Hamilton for one show and have her as a Terminator trying to kill Sarah. Wouldn't that screw with our minds?:woot:

This is a new timeline, where perhaps Skynet's files on Sarah Connor are more detailed due to her media exposure and / or time in prison.

I could certainly see her appearing in the future, no doubt with a furious confrontation with the Shirleynator over abandonment issues. And as a 20+ year old female redhead, she'll no doubt be played by a hot actress. Which then lead John disgusted with himself; for being attracted to both, the girl who looks exactly like Cameron (meaning she'll likely be killed by her some time in the future for Cameron to steal her identity) and the little girl he had taught how to tie her shoelaces! And being unable to choose!! :woot:

Hehe, that would be quite disturbing.:hehe:

I really wish this show were coming back, but no matter how optimistic the producers claim to be...the numbers aren't good.

I hope so too, just got into it actually. Well not yet, I picked up 2 copies of Season 1 (1 to keep untouched and 1 to use, I do this with all DVD's) but haven't been able to get to it yet due to work and being sick.

best be damn sure IF the show should return for a 3rd season they might have 1 extra viewer watching that wasn't there for the first two. myself :woot:

I gave up on SCC about halfway through this season since I felt it was a bit chop & change with the quality of the writing but I've heard its got really good, can anybody tell me if its worth catching up? (even if there is no 3rd season)

There was a bit of a slump at the mid season point of the 2nd season, but it got really got good toward the end.

Catch up.

Here's an interesting article at Screw Attack that suggests that TSCC's odds of renewal will be better if Dollhouse does poorly when it returns without TSCC as a lead-in.

http://screwattack.com/node/21295

The article does make some good points, I think. I like Joss Whedon-- I never got into Buffy, but the man did give us Firefly, some great screenplays, and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, so I've got a lot of respect for the guy. However, while I've done my best to support Dollhouse, I do feel like it's his weakest show, and if only one show from the "action Friday" block can get renewed, I wouldn't have to think twice to pick Terminator.

I want to give Dollhouse a chance, but I'm not really sure if it's premise is well suited for TV. If you're a network exec, I'm sure that the concept of characters who get mind-wiped at the end of each episode is like a wet dream since it's the perfect excuse for episodic content over serialization, but after being spoiled by the likes of TSCC and Battlestar Galactica, it's hard for me to stay invested in a show like Dollhouse. The main characters by nature cannot get much development, and unfortunately even the "normal" characters don't really seem to get much development, sticking to fairly cookie-cutter reactions in each episode.

I'd say Terminator is much more deserving of renewal. I'd like for both shows to be renewed, but if Dollhouse has to be sacrificed to save Terminator, then so be it. It should be interesting to see just how many people will tune in for DH with Prison Break as a lead in and not TSCC.
