just saw the commercial during family guy......and DAMN!! totally not what i was expecting! :wow:

Are the ads online?

The pilot while in rough cut was pretty decent. I think recasting the "bad terminator" was a good idea, though. It was entertaining and had some really good set pieces for a tv show and the acting and casting other than the bad T-800 was pretty solid. The storyline was a little conventional (though I really like the beginning where Sarah goes ape**** on her son and is ready to move at a moment's notice), but the last 10 minutes change the show's dynamic significantly and hopefully after a few episodes can get out of the "robot chase mentality" and make an entertaining enduring show.

I'd call the pilot decent, but shows a lot of potential that was not touched in it. Hopefully the show will live long enough to reach that potential.

I saw the pilot and it was LAME.

The Terminator was sleeping?! They travelled forward through time?! A teenage chick Terminator?! John and Sarah keeping their first names and making their surname REESE?!?! How f**king stupid are they?

And why are these new John Connors wimps? Edward Furlong had more balls than Stahl and this guy put together. He was bossing his mum around, not vice versa. Seriously, having a wimpy John doesn't work. He's supposed to be the future leader of humanity for christsakes.

I also couldn't stand it when Summer Glau saved the day, and kept not answering Sarah's questions about her plan. As if Sarah would go along with that. Sarah Connor would want to know everything every step of the way, she's not the kind of person who would accept 'hope' or whatever bulls**t it was for an answer.

David Silver Vs. The Terminator
Date : December 12, 2007 Writer : Clint Morris

Former ‘’Beverly Hills 90210’’ star Brian Austin Green is headed back to FOX to star in “The Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, reports TV Guide.

There’s no word on who the former dance king of Beverly Hills High will be playing in the new series but chances are he won’t be a Terminator - if only because a David Silver-droid would be about as frightening as finding a couple of ants in your mailbox.

Additionally, the site reports that Owain Yeoman, who played the new evil Terminator (Cromartie’s his name, says the site), has been dumped from the show. He played the part in the pilot, but from episode one former “Deadwood” star Garret Dillahunt takes on the role.

Brian Bloom, seen on the short-lived FOX series “Drive”, has also been cast in the series – he too will play a Terminator.

I’m looking forward to this show. I saw the pilot, and it was fun – I especially liked Lena Headey as Sarah Connor. There are a lot of possibilities there.

Thank god they dumped that guy. He was awful as a terminator. I don't understand the casting of BAG though. You couldn't choose a more irelevant actor in hollywood.

Looking forward to it, but not expecting much better than T3, to be honest. Headey and Glau are the two main reasons I'll watch.

I wonder how they can keep this fresh for more than one season....but then again...I thought the same with 24 and Prison break...and I love those shows

Thanks Webhead2006!

I have some super hi res version of the posters on my site... I don't know if they are anywhere else on the net, so...

24 is so unbelievably played out. They're just cashing in right now. The quality of that show went down the tubes after the third season.

I'm really amped up bout this series. Bout time there was some good **** on tv

I'm thinking this won't be that great. I don't like how it messes with the continuity of the film, plus, this site: http://takebackthefuture.com means they're thinking the show will be on for a few years. A bit optimistic.

the show is only using the continutiy of t1 and t2 and not using the continuity of t3. This has been known for months now. The producers didnt want the events leading up to t3 play a part in the show since they had sarah killed off for t3.

In other words, this sounds like an 'alternate reality' story, akin to Smallville (or maybe T3 is the alternate reality?). Personally, I think that's a smart move, especially establishing it early on before going into the series. That way, they'd have more freedom, don't have to worry too much about continuity and we as the audience don't have the comfort of knowing how exactly things are going to play out.

Can someone pm me the link to the pilot?

Forget that! This is the first show that I'm actually going to watch since Blade went off the air.
First non-reality/cartoon for me. :csad:

So is this non-canon or is T3?

For the show T3 is not cannon for them. For the movie series the show is out of continuity with the movies.
