Things to love about this episode:
1. The Action
2. References to Darth Maul's stories in the Expanded Universe; Maul recognized Vizsla'a sigil because he'd been trained by a member of the original Death Watch which served under Pre's relative Tor. He also targetted Black Sun at least in part because he's very familiar with them, having wiped out their old leadership years ago.
3. The Action!
4. The voice work. Favreau and Witwer obviously love their roles and you can feel their enthusiasm seep through their scenes together.
5. The Action!
6. Expansion and development of characters. Maul continues to be built up as a more barbaric counter to Dooku, preferring to get his own hands dirty and leading from the front, but showing a good deal of attachment to his brother that adds a bit of humanity to his black heart. Meanwhile, Vizsla continues to display a certain amount of political charm to accompany his own barbarity-notice how he always talks as though he respects you, but he's only sincere as long as you seem to be a peer and share his goals. If you're weaker than he is or an obstacle, he's just trying to lower your guard.
