Soo from what I can gather the film is structured like this.

Past (1973):
-Young Professor X
-Young Magneto
-Past Wolverine (w/ present Wolverine's mind)
-Mystique
-Beast
-Havok
-Quicksilver
-William Stryker
-Bolivar Trask

-Most of the story takes place here, including an attack on France by Magneto's Brotherhood, the rise of Trask Industries, and Nixon ordering an initiative to fight back against mutants

Present:
-Old Professor X
-Old Magneto
-Wolverine
-Storm
-Kitty Pryde
-Rogue
-Iceman
-Colossus
-Mark I Sentinels (9th gen)

-Wolverine gets sent back into the past from here but something happens to Kitty Pryde so they have to find a way to syphon her powers to get Wolverine back while he's trying to stop the events that happen in the past

Future (2023):
-Wolverine (Old Man Logan mode)
-Bishop
-Warpath
-Blink
-Sunspot
-Mark X Sentinels (Nimrod?)

-The future that (I'm assuming) takes place after Wolverine fails and the Mark X Sentinels are built

True. I doubt we'll even get a date for the "present" scenes anyway, meaning they won't have to tie down the films to any specific year. The only one I can see being dated is the 2023 stuff, and obviously 1973.

You're probably right, and in all honesty, I don't quite get the obsession with trying to narrow the whole series down to specific dates.

Isn't that from the Wolverine Origins Game?

@Mr. Dent
They wrote Mark I was till 1996, so in present we will have something between Mark II - Mark IX.

where do you get the brotherhood attack on france thing?

Singer has said magneto is gathering his power which could make sense for that but we also have the idea that charles and magneto will team up in the 70s

There will be action in Paris, and as we know in 1973 in Paris was Paris Peace Accords.

PS
What if black guy from lab at Trask site is Egyptian actor and he plays Apocalypse?

Maybe he turns into Bill Duke who is Apocalypse and takes over Trask Industries which is why the President called him.Secretary Trask...as a sarcastic insult.

I could swear there were some people saying they weren't big enough...

DFOP Sentinels actually look like Sentinels from the comics with a movie edge while the former looks like a generic robot.

To be honest, the Sentinels have always looked like generic robots.

With that being said, I do prefer what we are getting in DoFP. I just think they're a bit too skinny, they would look a little more threatening if they had some thickness to them, especially the arms and legs. Not sure what the purpose of that vent in the chest is but it takes away from them having a solid chest, they look like they can be taken down a little too easily from low level mutants.

Looks really fragile and weak. It looks like it could be pushed over and never be able to get up. The head is tiny for that body, and it kind of looks like a cross between a vacuum and a hair dryer.

I think that they might use computers to enhance the design and make it look more threatening.

What's with the big vent, Do they have a tendency to over heat?

I like that they don't look so threatening because they are supposed to be protectors to the human race that aren't supposed to be scary to them.

Those are probally the 1973 sentinles.More CGI ones will be in the future scenes.

I can't believe more aren't excited by this.

And It looks similar to X-Men evolution Sentinle.

The vent could be for flying, and even though they're not perfect, the design is a great start and step in the right direction.

Tbh the sentinels as they're designed in the comics probably doesn't make the most sense as their this robot on two legs with really high centers of gravity just asking for them to be knocked over.

I think seeing it real life just makes that ridiculousness more evident. With that said they probably should have made them look a bit sturdier for the movie. Those things look they can be tipped real easy.

They should have taken some cues from the PR robot designs.

Evolution sentinels were much bigger and heavier than this

I have a feeling this flooding of pictures and information on these sentinels is almost a form of misdirection. Yes I do believe that for the most part these are the types of sentinels that will be featured in the film but I can't help but think that there will be at least one giant ass sentinel (maybe the film's final climactic fight?) that will be kept under wraps until the film is actually out.
