Days of Future Past Where have the Sentinels been?

In X2 they retrieved Strykers files that included "Project Wide Awake". So they could have known about plans that they could employ in the Danger Room to combat the threat.

Same I'll be disappointed if he doesn't. Like all fans I want to see Jean and Cyke return at the end when Logan awakens. Telling him to stop Scott going to Alkali lake or not suppressing Jeans powers would save them.

Fox knows he much fans want that. I'm a fox supporter as I have liked the majority of X-Men movies but ignoring that would make me quite mad at them.
Yeah it seems like a golden opportunity to me, especially because we've been told that one of the themes in this movie is going to be about second chances. Xavier IMO bears a lot of responsibility for what happened to Jean -- she didn't even have the Phoenix personality until after he started to tinker around in her brain. I've never liked his attitude in X3: he was way too arrogant (and yes, I know that in the 616 he has been presented that way at times: but I don't really like it there either).

Does anyone remember X-men: The official game?
It is mostly cheesy game but it was something to tie X2 with Last Stand.
So there were Sentinels on Alkali Lake base. I'm just saying :D

Obviously they were put in the back burner by the government. Building robots could take a long time and its a very expensive project.

The governments and companies out there in real life are probably developing projects that aren't known to the public and this film is a fiction, so I don't really mind if the Sentinels weren't mentioned in the original trilogy.

Did it answer questions, absolutely! The Yashida thing just doesn't make sense to me. If we're going to take in every films marketing into canon, while we're at it, remember the search engine on the X3 official site. You could search Bolivar Trask which gave you his bio, you could search Sentinels and Project Wide-awake which came up classified. You could also search strange occurrences near Alkali Lake which mentioned strange lights hinting at Phoenix and yet none of these things count anymore. So how far can we really take these things?

True, except that this time-line was likely made specifically in conjunction with the film, and lines up with elements confirmed in the trailers, in particular this last one referencing Beast's death in the future.

Also, perhaps more pertinent, and unlike anything tied to X2 online tie ins which were over written by x3, etc, is the fact that )so long as it doesn't contradict what is in DOFP, and the past movies,) the 25 Moments time-line can be taken as 100% canon as the entire time-line is about to be altered anyways.
In other words, as the time-line is being altered in DOFP, nothing that comes after it can really contradict the 25 Moments time-line after that fact. Unless they go back and try and put time back on that line, to fix whatever consequences the time alterations of DOFP has, but even then, they're not going to want it exactly as it is, because that leads to the DOFP future they were trying to avoid; as bad as an AOA future could be.
