the users that freak out are the ones that really cant accept that there are other people out there that have... u know... different opinions than them.

So their only reaction is to say the rest "freak out"

poor them, lol

Not really liking this Sentinel. Hopefully they are bigger and more intimidating in the future scenes.

During my short time here, I've gathered that to some any form of criticism = *****ing/freaking out. *shrugs*

feel the same, dude, feel the same.

but will be cool to see 70's x-men fighting a few of these :D

Maybe but at same time they may look the same, They don't have to be bigger that's the thing, they ain't gonna be as big as houses because that's destructive and kinda takes away the idea of them, oops sorry we fell and destroyed your house we was hunting mutants do :p

I really love this design. Also, for those saying it should look more threatening - I don't really think they should look threatening at all. These are machines designed to make people feel secure and safe, why would they be made to look like monsters to everyone when they're supposed to make people feel safe? The threatening factor should come from knowing what they can do. It's like seeing the monster within the machine and that's what makes them scary. Looking at it - awe and splendor and a feeling of comfort. That thing looking to kill you - you don't want to be anywhere near it.

I like it, still hard to believe we are getting sentinels in an X-men movie. Oh and of course there are tons of fanboys in other sites trashing the hell out of singer for the sentinel design , but what else is new.

I don't think it needs to look threatening either, that isn't why I don't really like it.

The head looks fine(it could be bigger). What I don't really like about it is that it just looks unstable and weak. It just doesn't look very functional, and I personally don't see that sentinel being able(or believable)to hunt mutants. It's not something that will ruin the movie for me or anything, I'm just not a fan of that particular sentinel design.

Well to be fair this sentinel is just a model statue really, we haven't seen how it looks with the movie touch-ups and extra cgi.

Maybe we should all chill and wait for them to actually show them in motion.

i dont think that every robot needs to look like old metal with rust and scratches. so yes i accept this design and i will support it.

give me something new.

It looks like a killing machine to me. A large part of that is the inside-workings look powerful. I don't understand this head thing, outside of aesthetics - the size of the head does absolutely nothing for its functionality. A small head would have the same exact functioning as a big head.

Not the best looking design but it could always be worse, right? Hopefully they at least nail the voicing.

I was saying the head was the thing that I kind of liked about it, but it still could be bigger for aesthetic purposes.

It's true the sentinels are obviously suppost to make people feel safe and protected from mutants, if they were as big as houses that wouldn't work, and if they looked like killing machines that wouldn't work either

I'm thinking the 2000s sentinels will be similar, not bigger and not look dangerous but we will see

The fact that they actually built a practical full scale model of a Sentinel excites me. I love it when directors don't rely exclusively on CGI to achieve their shots and mix practical stuff with the computer stuff.

LOL the design is very bad. They look horrible.. but i know its only a mach 1 version...

So we got a ton a photos of the Sentinels, and how they'll actually look on film, a few days ago and everyone loved them. Now we get an unedited shot of it on a back lot and we freak out?

This was me, checking out this thread:

Yeah, that's true. I'm down for some Sentinel fighting in any capacity. :yay:

Personally, I think that the worse the mutant problem gets over the years, the larger and more intimidating the Sentinels should be. I'm not looking for skyscraper sized Sentinels at all, but I do want them to be larger than what I'm seeing.

I'm just glad they're reasonably accurate.

Anyone remember the sentinel from X3?

We could've gotten something similar. Hollywood doesn't have to try to appease fanboys. They could pull something from their butt and ignore the comics completely.
