Days of Future Past The Sentinels

I'm pretty sure days of future past is mainly 2023 and 73 as this is what's mainly been discussed and mentioned officially.

I reckon they may only go to 2013 at the very end to see what changed..... Is the after credit scene in Wolverine set in 2013?!

no i think 2023 is the future where sentinels have taken control and the X-MEN are dead, while the present day OT maybe 2013 or 2018 where the X-men feel that stand a chance of stopping the sentinels and bishop goes back in time and says... you are all dead in the future

i'm thinking this big cast will be split 3 ways with wolverine being from start to finish, obvious i'm not expecting alot of time spent in 2023 but i think the film may open on it

No, infact, 2023 has not been mentioned officially at all. Only 1973 and the period 10 years after the OT have been mentioned officially.

None of our regular X-Men appear to be in 2023 (according to those who saw the footage) so that's not going to be the focus.

It'll mostly like be 1973 and the present - 2013/2014, with a little 2023 sprinkled in.

it does give a way for wolverine to have his big death scene early on

infact could the film open with that? wolverines death then the title DAYS OF FUTURE PAST on the screen

I've been saying that since we heard about the 2023 timeline. It feels like the perfect film opener.

MUTANT DETECTED!

Inhibitor collar, if we have prison camps in, this movie rocks.

18ft is ideal for Mark I, they're bigger than Mark I in comic.

Hope we will see Nimrod. He can regenerate, he's shapeshifter, similar to T-1000, would be cool.

2023 is mentioned in the timeline on the trask industries website. it's the last year on the timeline, forgot what was supposed to happen that year though.

I always thought the Sentinels would look stupid in live action but I must say Singer appears to have pulled it off. They seems quite threatening in the pictures we've seen of them.

I wouldnt be surprised if nimrod is sentinel Mark X

That's 2020, I think?

Oh, I'm certain there will be a 2023 timeline in the film. It's just that it won't be the secondary era to 1973.

In terms of screentime: 1973 > "present" > 2023.

Actually maybe this is correct.... I have seen some suggested ways the cast is split 3 ways as well, I seem to be excited by recent developments that is acting impulsively lol never mind! I totally see what's been said...

The questions is when is 10 years after x3 as it came out in 2006 so isn't that 2016!?

X3 movie was in 2006, but action of movie could be earlier, as we had World Trade Center in X1. It's less than 5 years of action between X1 and X3.
X1 -2000
X2 -2001
X3 -2003
DOFP -2013

Just because it came out in 2006, doesn't mean it happened in 2006 though.

The entire OT took place 1-2 years, tops.

EDIT: What Kasjan said.

Absolutely so 2013 would make perfect sense for present

it wasn't on the timeline, you're right, it was on the graph.

Ahhh, thanks for pointing that out! I never noticed that. Finally, we have 2023 as a concrete date. If nothing else, that should confirm that there will be three eras in the film.

What did you think of the look of the sentinels head model at least from the last stand?

But in 2006, X-Men: The Last Stand was set in the "not too distant future", which means the trilogy would have had to have been after 2006 at least.

Which is fine, because 10 years after 2006 = 2016, if The Wolverine takes place in 2013 (it's obviously been awhile since he's long since abandoned the X-Men by this point), 2 years later (mid credits scene) = 2015, which means the action of X-Men: Days Of Future Past could easily be 2016.

The X-Men: Days Of Future Past Sentinels by a long shot.

DFOP Sentinels actually look like Sentinels from the comics with a movie edge while the former looks like a generic robot.

All I know is that I want a Days Of Future Past Sentinel head to put in my room.

True. I doubt we'll even get a date for the "present" scenes anyway, meaning they won't have to tie down the films to any specific year. The only one I can see being dated is the 2023 stuff, and obviously 1973.

Yeah I'm sure they won't specify the date for the OT cast.
