13 Episodes is not nearly enough. I wonder if we started a petition to extend the seasons to 20 episodes, and got enough sig's of FX would do it?

Aceveda is misunderstood it seems. This is a guy who in the first few seasons was strictly black and white in his views on justice, right and wrong. He had some crap happen to him which made him seek revenge, get it now he struggles with his own inner demons and said "black and white" views. You see him doing things that he despises, the hooker and struggling with the rapist guy. You can plainly tell he is not happy with himself at all.

I for one want to see him stick around and see how his character come through these "trials" he is encountering.

You guys talk about him being a sleaze, well there is no bigger sleaze on the show than Vic followed very closely by Shane. Think about it, Vic and Shane killed another cop to protect themselves. Calling for Aceveda's head based on his downward spiral just seems wrong when he is very much higher on the morailty scale than Vic.

I think it is going to be Danni or her partner, I forget the dudes name. They have had minor roles this season, I bet one of them gets written out. Since Danni took a slug last night, I bet it is her partner.

The main reason I would rather see Aceveda leave than Vic (that's not even a possibility, obviously) or Shane is that Aceveda is no longer directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the barn, whereas Shane is part of Vic's crew and therefore in a more interesting position as far as I'm concerned. I certainly don't think Aceveda is any worse morally than Vic, but we've know Vic was a sleazy criminal from the very beginning, and Aceveda isn't as entertaining to me, personally as Vic. I'm not saying I would demand that he leave, but if it was a choice between cutting Rawlings or Shane loose or cutting Aceveda loose, I'd definitely keep Rawlings and I'd like to keep Shane around, as he's a valuable part of Vic's character dynamics. At this point, I guess I'd prefer to see Julian Lowe leave, since they've practically given up on his character anyway, he's due for a transfer in continuity, and even though they've all but let this plotline die, I hate his deluded hypocrisy with regard to his sexuality. He's an a$$hole for marrying that woman, and a coward for denying who he is just because his church denounces homosexuality. I certainly don't expect him to "come out" in front of a police precinct full of bigoted a$$holes, but they least he could do is be himself while off the clock and refrain from biting off more than he can chew, as he did with his marriage.

I am hoping something comes out of it. Vic doing that again, blowing a case, getting into deper crap. Like the Russian blowing himself up, these guys just dig their own holes. I know in Season one Danni and Vic were knocking it, I think in every season but one so far they have done that. Vic also was getting after that one married woman, she was part of the K9 Unit right? Next Vic will be chasing Shane's wife.

I still think it's Lem, looking at the preview, its looks like he gets surrounded by himself. Although, The Shield's previews have been missleading before. I'd be sad as hell if he died.

But it was so quick that it was hard to tell what happened. If I had to pick one member of the Strike Team to go, I'd pick Ronnie... nothing against him really, it's just that out of the four of them, the writers do the least with him and haven't made him all that interesting of a character when compared to the other three. Since Tavon is supposedly going to come back at some point, I guess I wouldn't be to surprised if one of the team bit the dust and Tavon was brought in to replace him, but all in all, I don't want to see any of them go because they play off each other so well.

Imagine the drama if Tavon comes back and remembers what happened with Shane. If that is the basic plot outline for next season, then I do not see Lem being gone, I see Lem playing amajor part in keeping those two from killing each other or maybe helping Tavon get back at Shane without getting the rest of them in trouble.

I don't see them getting rid of Ronnie, he seems to be the only guy in the group with text book smarts. He's always operating the equipment and he can even wire C4. It's rough when you have a show with so many well written characters, because no matter who goes, it's still kind of sad to see them leave.

Yeah, he's the same. He's just got facial hair now, and possibly a new hair style or something. I honestly can't remember what Ronnie looked like back then.

yeah it bugs me how they just drop the whole danni and vic thing after that they didnt reference it any after that i dont believe and its bugged me. I also think Julian's whole storyline has gotten boring oh wait thats right he doesnt have one anymore but yeah i wouldnt really mind if julian died i think he's the weak link in the cast but i think whoever bites it has to be bigger than julian or rawlings (cause we already know she's leaving) shane doesnt seem as likely to die as he did earlier this season. oh well we'll just have to watch and see what happens tonight i have faith in the writers. but yeah tonights gonna be great first the shield's season finale and then the midnight showing for batman begins.

The guy who plays Julian (Michael Jace, I think is his name) is definitely not a weak actor, so if Julian is the weakest link in the cast, it's because of the choices they've made with him.

I would really like to know why the hell he was even picked for that team. He was generally just back-up muscle and an errand boy, but apparently now he's good with surveillance. He's not a master criminal and he doesn't come off like either a stone-cold sociopath or a hot-headed loose cannon, and he doesn't strike me as a guy with a lot of street contacts of his own. Then again, we wouldn't know about that last one unless they actually discussed it.

I guess that was a nice way to end things, with a rare moment where everyone is happy and getting along. Kind of like the quiet before the **** storm that is coming next season. I'm a little sad that Glenn Close is leaving though, she did a fanstastic job. Maybe she'll pop up later on though. Too bad Dutch didn't take the job, now that he thinks he has some respect, I would've like to have seen him try to run the barn. I think my heart skipped a beat when Lemonhead had that shot gun right in his face, damn, I thought for sure they were going to kill him off. So glad they didn't though. With all that was said in the episode, I wonder if they're setting up next season to be the last one? I doubt it, but still...

Well considering the new episodes don't begin until January 2006, I suggest start looking for the re-runs sometime this fall. "Rescue Me" begins next week so if you what that show they might announce when The Shield might be coming back for the re-runs. I always tape my shows since they come out so late here in Texas.
