did you lose all respect for Dutch when he killed the cat?

Ok...I didn't like him killing the cat either, but for some reason I could always forgive Dutch moreso than any other character. I see him as a naive little kid trying to find his way in that crazy town. Aceveda was a police captain, he was so arrogant and seemingly sympathetic to the rape victim then to go and watch her tape over and over, that just made me dislike him.

Did any of you notice the little scene between Dutch and Corrine? Didn't you think they were flirting a little bit? It's probably just a one-off moment to show how goofy Dutch is, but could it possibly be the beginning of something?

This could be potentially interesting. Wouldn't it be the ultimate payback to Vic if his wife started sleeping with Dutch, a man he has ridiculed and belittled for years? Perhaps this is how they will respark the Vic/Dutch feud...

I noticed it, but I think it might be nothing. There have been other times on this series where it felt like something was going to happen between two of the characters but then it just went away. I think they do that just to throw you off sometimes. Anyway... this episode was awesome, though it was probably also one of the most sexually perverse ones they've put out yet... Aceveda's little whack-off scene made me want to puke, and the part with the old guy and the young kid was pretty gross too.

I thought it was pretty good...especially at the end where Shane was offered the gig on the task forcce...essentially, they've rebuilt the Strike Team.

I thought last night's episode was ok, too much focus on the psuedo gang war, and almost no focus on any B plots. The bit with Julien and the kid was great

I'm not digging the new season as much as the past ones. Too much gang related stuff, not enough other cases and personal stories

Really? I think that, especially after the ending of "Tar Baby", this could be shaping up to be the best season yet!

I'm really loving this season.

After last season's fallout, the Strike Team would already be back together were it any other show.

However, The Shield isn't like that. This is realistic. The gang has broken up, and given the **** that went down between them, I doubt it will ever be the same. Shane's in for a fall, and so is Aceveda.

Plus, I am loving the new captain so far. She's a HELL of a lot cooler than Aceveda was.
