This is an interesting theory, I think the line up is potentially great and the inclusion of female characters is a great choice.

What do you all think and should these characters be introduced in the spidey universe?
I would also hope to see an appearance from spiderman himself of course, Hopefully not too much screen time though and just as spiderman(no Peter Parker).
A lady version of scorpion is interesting if done well (a bit useless as I'd rather see an actual established secondary female character).

I think it's a foregone conclusion that we won't be seeing this film.

Probably a good chance all "TASM Sequels" threads won't be around in a month :wow:

it's a dead issue and good riddance to a lousy idea for a movie... especially by Sony, who can't work nothing but s**t for the Spidey movie franchise...

Hey, THUNDERSTRIKE, you should join the discussion in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 section! It's where the bulk of the possible Sony/Marvel Studios deal is being discussed!

I like your signature. :woot:

The whole idea of just making a movie about a team of villains, especially without ever introducing them individually in previous films, is extremely lousy. At some point or another, I think having Spider-Man fight the Sinister Six on screen would be amazing. But Sony's approach to the Sinister Six is just plain wrong.

If you ever saw Turn Off the Dark, (legally or otherwise) Osborn just kidnaps a bunch of random scientists and mutates them into super villains as a quick way to build a rogues gallery in about a minute. The results are Swarm, Carnage, Lizard, and Swiss Miss.

Everytime I think of the Sinister Six movie, I imagine a similar scenario.

Never saw Turk off the Dark, but now I will always think of that whenever I hear about Sony's vision for the Sinister Six.

This image was posted on the official Brazilian Sony Facebook page.

Translated it says "We have plans for you", so it looks like this movie is still coming out.

As much as I'd still like the movie to come, I doubt it ever will.

1. This was exclusively posted on the Sony Pictures Facebook page from Brazil, not the U.S.
2. The copyright says 2014. Even though this was posted the other day, it wasn't made recently. Most likely a re-post.
3. The text says, "We have plans for you," a quote used in many TASM2 trailers and TV Spots. This may very well be a promotion for that film, not S6.
4. More evidence that this is a TASM2 promo: we only see the octopus tentacles and the vulture wings. Other than the goblin suit, these were the only villain technologies shown in the special projects lab in TASM2.
5. Sony made a number of similar promos for TASM2 as pointed out by SevenWebHeads, which also have a 2014 copyright and a small SONY logo on the bottom-right corner.
6. In addition, the Brazilian fb page also put up very similar promotions for completely different films, including: Django Unchained, Click, and Hotel Transylvania (credit goes to SevenWebHeads).

Don't take this as a confirmation of Sinister Six. Even if I was excited for that movie I wouldn't interpret this as evidence of the film actually being released.

I apologize for the delay in The Sinister Six story I've been delving off & on, tweaking and re-writing certain parts, to fit within both the TASM series as well as MCU; giving the possible shared rights agreement. I received a private message, if I had finished yet. Unfortunately, no; but, to give those that may be interested in my take, I'm going to share the opening scene, of the story.

I hope it's enjoyable reading, and certainly would appreciate any comments or constructive criticism. For the moment, I repost the trailer above, while I download the opening scene, then I will transfer it here.

The Sinister Six

The opening scene is now up. :woo:

You gotta feel a little bad for Drew Goddard. He was show runner on Daredevil, but left to do Sinister Six. Definitely a bad decision.

Totally.

The only thing that would make up for this, if S6 gets cancelled, is if somehow Marvel incorporates him into their plans for Spidey.

Of all people, I would hate knowing he got the rough end of the stick in this.

I genuinely do feel bad for him. He probably left Daredevil because Sony likely offered to pay him more money to write a screenplay. He will still get paid for the work he's done and I'm sure he will find his way back to Marvel at some point. People write scripts all the time that never turn into actual movies.

He was actually supposed to be the director too. He would have been a good fit for Marvel too. He and Joss are close so he probably would have had been in the inner circle. Sony clearly wants Marvel money and just blatantly stole talent.

Sony must have offered him enough money to break his contract with Marvel.
