The Sound of Hellfire? (Ghost Rider's Voice)

That's exactly what I mean... Like, use the top of his eye sockets like they were eyebrows, sorta. I wonder how animated this guy is gonna be?

As for the topic at hand, the sound editing department is gonna have quite the time doing this movie... depending on how much 'noise' the Hellfire flames are gonna have. Perhaps they'll work it into the soundtrack or something.

On GR's head, I think they should have the facial expressions, but have the voice issuing without the jaw moving.

The Hellfire should sound almost like a loud, real fire, except have moaning, wailing, and screaming mixed in with it. Almost as if the lost souls are speaking threw it at the victium :ghost:

A lot of people like the idea of lost souls moaning and wailing mixed in with hellfire sound. ... including me. It just makes sense.

Would the moaning and walling happen all the time (because he is made of hellfire) or just when he did hellfire blasts or uses hellfire as a weapon, ya think?

I thought I posted this before so if I did I am sorry to repeat it. Have the engine of the cycle sound like a Harley mixed with a high guitarish sound so the engine would scream down the street. The flames would sound normal except when JB changes to GR, he revs his bike, or in an emotional response. I think that about covers it.

Yeah, you did mention the guitars in another thread. NO worries though. I only know this because I just responded to it.

Okay 3dman27, what would the regular hellfire sound like? Regular fire?

I think the sounds of the hellfire itself isnt going to be that noticeable if it's done right.. because GR will be holding people aloft, cackling demonically, and the screams of the tormented person will be all you'll hear =P

Ok.. seriously.. it should have some sound. Would be cool if GR grabbed someone, and the fire starts to creep around their body.. you could hear the moans of the tormented as the fire infused into the victim's soul... ahhhhhhh!
Is it 2006 yet?

Have the flames reach around the killer's body like the clawing hands of his victims, while the one who wronged the innocent feels what his victims felt and more. Ghost Rider holding the victim suspended by a chain, laughing as his victim finally got what he deserved, and possibly dragging the still struggling person behind his bike in it's firey wake.
I can't wait to hear what is happening at that set! Maybe when MSJ gets back on he will let some hints drop...

.

im diggin those ideas...especially the claw like flames. that would be rather creepy. add in some wailing from dead souls in w/ the crackling of the hellfire and you got yourself a killer little scene

I was thinking more of the souls of the ones the guy tortured. Who knows what scenes will be in the movie? All we can do is think them up and post them here for others to enjoy.

I like the sound of Hellfire being fire mixed with wailing of human souls and the claw like fire wrapping around the victims, that's just badass. Taking it one step further, perhaps when the claw fire has is wrapped on a victim, you can see in the fire hints of the souls screaming and moaning, that'd just creep people out even more, I bet.

About the voice, I think Nic should be involved a bit. Have Nic act out the GR lines, then use some filters and some other sounds along side of it. Make it sound demonic, with a little hint of Nic, but slightly overshadowed by the other stuff. I think this shows that while GR is out, it reminds everyone that he's still possessing a human being and uses it as a shell so he can come out.

i agree..only the less of Nic in the voice the better...or in other words....that GR would sound so diffrent from Cage people would think that it was provided by someone else. same goes for body language and movements.
Cage should definitely act/voice the part..only do it so well people wouldnt realize it was Cage in the outfit. that way they can drive home the point that Blaze and GR are 2 different beings.

I agree. A deep, gravely voice for GR, and Nic's for JB. Plus GR is a lot bigger in muscle and a little taller than JB and this needs to be so in the movie.

Ok, we have a good idea what the hellcycle is going to look like. Now what will it sound like, besides being loud?

I like having a mixture of Nic in the voice, but only as he's changing... or resisting a change. I'd rather not be reminding of Cage at all when Ghost Rider is about.

Then who is going to do GR's voice? Or is it going to be Cage's voice run threw all the voice changers and them trying to line up mouths with words?

Well, Ghost Rider head is going to be a digital head more than likely anyway, which means they'll have to line things up with that.

I hope they hire a voice actor for that though I'm sure they'll do something funky with Cage's voice.

Hopefully it will be so changed that you can hardly tell it is Cage's voice.

That's my biggest hope. I want a difference in Ghost Rider and Blaze... besides the visual one, of course.

It should be that way, because JB and GR are two different beingings. What do you think GR should sound like FH?

Honestly, I don't know. That's a really tough question to answer really. I've spent so many years reading the words coming from the vengeance demons mouth and each time the words were surrounded by hellfire balloons, giving me the impression that this is a special voice... a powerful, fear inflicting voice... and that's exactly what it has to be. Anything less would be a dissapointment. What exactly fear and powefull sounds like is the real question... and it's a question I really cant put into words.

I have a though on what it might sound like but it is hard to describe; it needs to be a low, rumbling, almost gravely and/or acidy, voice that sends chills up your spine that nails on chalk board can not compare to. To be the picth to where you can hear it no matter what is going on in the background, and you want to obey the voice no matter what because you are too scared to do other wise or because of the commanding tone that it implies (that you don't want to know what will happen if you don't obey).

Your right on one thing for sure; it definatly is heard to describe what the voice should should like. You have a great description there though... better than anything I'd be able to explain anyway. Maybe that's because my only main concern is that it does not sound like Cage... at all. Anything other than that would be fine by me. Anything like what you described here, would be perfect!
