The Sound of Hellfire? (Ghost Rider's Voice)

A lot of people like the idea of lost souls moaning and wailing mixed in with hellfire sound. ... including me. It just makes sense.

Would the moaning and walling happen all the time (because he is made of hellfire) or just when he did hellfire blasts or uses hellfire as a weapon, ya think?

Kind of reminds me of Shang Tsung's fireballs

GR could make the bike silent when he needed it to be, and louder than hell at other times. The moaning could be when he is punishing someone (giving them the stare).

Ohh... I like the idea of the bike being silent sometimes. That would make for some some big scares/jumps.

I should know who Shang Tsung is right? Damn. Um, Mortal Kombat?

Yeah, have GR creep up on someone then rev the bike right behind them and watch them jump. It would also be a useful tool to scare the audience, because you would never know were the bike would show up next.

Exactly what I was thinking. The movie is going to have many horrorific aspects and therefore they are gonna want to scare the audience, I would assume

I want to see GR drive up without the audience knowing and jump at the camera with his bike screaming louder than hell. I think of that and what else they might do and shivers go down my spine.

I like some disturber and the same time melting on our minds...It has taken and constant at the same time!

Do think that the rest of the time (when it is not the hellcycle) it will sound like a normal bike, or will it have some sound (extra loud, deep rumble, etc.) to set it apart?

I imagine that the hellcycle and the regular cycle are going to sound somewhat different. The hellcycle has to sound like it's from another world afterall.

His voice should sound like a really tough dude speaking from the afterlife, hollow, powerful and scary, scary enough to make you pee your pants.

As for Ghost Rider, I really don't want to see any lips or eye movement. Would the Terminator endoskeleton have been as scary with animated eyebrows? Nah. An accurate bit of jaw movement (not clacking like maracas) would be OK, like in Darkman. Most communication is made by body language anyway, so as long as the actor playing GR is good at that, there shouldn't be a problem with him emoting.

I think that they need to at least animate the jaw, to heighten emotional language, and maybe have the flames that serve as eyes flare when a very strong emotion is trying to be communicated.

I agree that the bone structrue should not be animated in anyway. If they need to make any faciel enhancements at all, let them do it with flame.

Crystal, I have no idea what it's going to sound like. I'm not even sure if he'll be speaking at all. That's a major possibility as well.

I meant the hellcycle. I still love the idea of the flames flaring up when GR has a strong emotional moment.

I think his voice will have a raspy echo sound to it , and his voice will be the sound of fire. If you ever heard nic cage talk his voice doesn't really change it always has the same tone and thats what I think ghost rider will sound like.

Damnit I hate Scares/Jumps sorry for being weak :o

I think the main thing with the voice is going to be Nic's brought down to a low, powerful growl.
The jumps/scares are fun, they keep you on your set and your attention on the movie. I can't wait to see all the ones in the movie!

for those who don't know, the hellfire has 50cc horsepower and sounds like a scooter... and its made of plastic

What!? You mean the hellcycle that we have seen is what you described?
We are wondering what the final product in the movie will sound like.

I don't care if it's made of poop and sounds like Barney the dinosaur; that thing is freakin' cool lookin! I bet it's gonna be awesome on screen... and we all know that 90% of the sounds that appear in films are artificially created at a later time.

I bet it looks funny to see live though...

Me either, although I'm more concerned about the actual sound of Ghost Rider. I mean, will his burnin' body sound like something burning or will it just be silent?

I suspect some kind of roaring flame noise.... but it is very possible any alteration on the hell/screaming soul theme

So, we now know that Nic has recorded all the lines which will be digitally mixed with 'lion roars' and such. Sounds intereting.

I also like the fact that MSJ said it would 'shake the theatre'. That's awesome and sounds completly perfect.
