It's funny that so many WANTED to see something in spidey's eye. So many enlarged it and came up with ridiculous idea's to what was seen in spidey's eye. If there was anything to notice, It wouldn't have been difficult to see at all, cause they would want us to see it... THERE'S NOTHING IN HIS EYES!!! End of story. Incredible such a long time that debat went on.. it was fun to read people's posts regarding it, yet still ridiculous.

The most exciting thing, in my opinion, was the unveiling of the black suit. It was back when I was a lurker. I read people's comments on the boards and laughed. I listened to both Spider-Man movie soundtracks and then...it was time. I went back to the front page. And...the loading time was unbearable. I ran to my mom's computer as fast as my legs would take me. I clicked the main page, and there it was. I screamed at the top of my lungs in pure joy. It's what boosted the excitement I already had for this movie to a whole new level. And, it was one of the things that made me consider joining here so I could discuss my love for superhero movies with other people.

What is "The Lakiamai Saga"?

Those who remember it know it needs no explanation. :woot:

The Lakiamai Saga is THE Lakiamai Saga.

definately the leaked Q&A....feels good to know that my faith wasn't misplaced in lakiamai....everything about the plot details just felt right, except the only thing I doubted was venom, after hearing time and time again how raimi hated the character....that I did get wrong. but wow. had anyone asked me a few years ago that there would be a spider-man movie, I would have laughed in their face. but it actually worked! But to think that Spider-Man has become a hugely successful franchise, with a HUGE HUGE budget is just great.

I remember really liking venom in the Fox cartoon on saturday mornings, but now next summer I'm actually going to see a movie with Spiderman vs Venom scenes, a $250 million budget, directed by sam raimi *always did like darkman*....sorry to geek out, but it totally annoys me when people are nitpicking about this movie....we all should be glad sony got the rights, and that cameron didnt make the movie 10 years ago....

Yeah, the Lakiami Saga has to be it. The leaked Q&A gave us all so much to discuss and is the only reason we know so much about SM3 already. Plus, that fact that Sont killed him makes it all the more interesting...

There was nothing in Spidey's eye.

Something that wasn't on the list was all the forum haters pretty much virtually disappearing. That or they flip-flopped magically again.

lol like you?

i thought he meant how he HATED topher in the beginning, more than anyone else here and now is all about him.

Are you referring to the "The Vanilla Midget Miniseries"?

Did you guys notice how BORING these forums got as soon as Comic-Con was over? I mean...three days later, after we got our half-Venom and blurry video, there was nothing left to dicuss. I could see virtual tumbleweeds rolling across the screen.

I spent all of my time here at the Spidey forums, but I stopped coming here because everything was so dead. Now that things are kicking back in gear, I think a lot more regulars will be back.

Ah The Lakiamai Saga. :woot: Those were some good time on this board. I wonder how the guy is now after all the crap sony put him throught for leaking the Q&A .

I was a big disbeliever in lakiamai. BIG. Ya'll can attest to that. But the truth became too clear as we learned more and more. I think I studied lakiamai and his claims more than I've studied my Astronomy or Sociology notes this semester.

Umm...that wasn't me.

Yurka is wrong and illegitimate. I was never anti-Topher Grace in this movie.

The vanilla midget stuff was a riff on the haters that were against him. It was a sarcastic joke. The whole Vanilla Midget thing comes from Kevin Nash who used it to insult guys like Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko since they weren't big men and they weren't funny and goofy like him. Hence the name "vanilla midgets".

It was mostly based on the deranged rantings of Symbiotica who is now nowhere to be seen.

As closer and closer we got to this movie's release, and after more and more was revealed, the haters virtually disappeared or they flip-flopped.

The SM-1 [I was a lurker back then] and SM-2 days were much more fun IMO. Less trolls, better class of posters back then [no offence to those here now].

Can't say the buzz for SM-3 has been nearly as much fun. I guess I found the prospect of Green Goblin and Ock coming on screen much more exciting than Sandman and Venom.

Anyway, in response to the thread question, Comic Con and the trailer were the highlights of it all. Stuff was actually confirmed. Stuff about the mysterious 4th villain and whats in Spidey's eye etc was just a pain in the ass.

People making something out of nothing.

There were tons of trolls around here 4 years ago.

One moron always complaining about the organic webbing.

And the lakiamai stuff, Ock? I don't remember how involved you were in those debates, but damn I'll never forget that shiznit when I look back at it all. Every trailer and pic and report over the summer always came back to the guy and his claims.

yeah, the Q/A sparked a lot of debate. I voted for that. It was a crazy time when goldgoblin interviewed him and a lot of the stuff he said seem to be true.

No there wasn't. No where near as bad as now. Not even close.

Remember the MOD 'Amazing Spider-Man'?? That guy was awesome. Best Mod ever IMO. His job was very easy, compared to what the Mods have to put up with now.

Make that two. Mr Parker and Bakerboy. Damn, they were hilarious :D You were always guaranteed fun when they made a thread. It was like those two versus everyone.

Fun times.
