My biggest point of concern is that somewhere along the line the Marvel/Sony partnership goes sour and Tom Rothman starts calling the shots with regards to the franchise.

At everything you just said typed.

Edit: I don't even think I wanna see Gwen used again, really. I'm pretty conflicted about it.

I'm a little conflicted too. Gwen in TSSM and TASM was great, but when you think about comicbook Gwen, there's not much to mine, she was a bland highschool-sweetheart. In every adaptation Gwen has been completely different, like they just scrapped the original every time and wrote their own character with the skin of Gwen. Sure they could do that again. But now that there shouldn't be any preasure to have Gwen killed again, they should explore other characters and love interests. Betty Brant, Liz, a faithful interpretation of MJ and so on.

It may have been a stupid line but come on its so somethung spidey would have said to any foe.

On thst front we just have to hope sony continues to have money woes. And they then just give full control back to marvel for a money kickback to keep them afloat. Rothman I would hope see it be foolish to do any crap like thst with sony troubles. Just suck it up and sit back and let marvel magic touch hope sony out. As sony has so much trouble. And the reports that bond franchise is leaving sony now. They don't have anything.

As for gwen there is no reason we can't or shouldn't see her again. There is plently to do to be different from past takes. And with Kevin saying he wants to do more w8th the supporting guys. I want to see them all.

I really hope they keep Spidey's identity a secret in the MCU. I don't want to see him maskless anytime soon.

Tom confirmed it in his interview yesterday that Spidey is the only hero in the MCU who has a secret identity. No worries there.

I am sure they will kevin made comments on it in past interviews. No way they are going to go right to blowing his id. We loose so many elements with that.

God I do not remember the links. You might find it going through the news thread as that thread is just str8ckly links and pics for things.

That is likely to be the only one either all the avengers or just likely tony and steve.

Another solid post.

They won't be god mcu is all connected. Even if we don't see them they are there and are part of things.

Actually not. I really like the Defenders! Mainly Daredevil and Iron Fist.

It won't really make a difference if the netflix shows reference the movies and the movies don't do the same. If daredevil isn't in Civil War, that's a huge missed opportunity

So did the TASM franchise :cwink:
Damn, that was harsh. :funny: :(

Either way, I'm also worried about the fact that Spider-Man is in a death slot because Justice League is also getting released that year.

It's a little hard for civil war as the netflix shows where not all out or in middle of things when it was. It's more likely option we may or could possible see them in one of the infinity wars films. Counting of course where the battle ground with thanos takes place. If it's earth more likely chance. If it's in space probably not.

I don't want this to feel like a superhero satire like the majority of MCU films. Ant Man was the corniest self-parody yet.

Alot of MCU films rely on humorous moments and action to sell rather than seriousness. I think what he means is he wants this film to be more serious and less comedic. Where as Ant-Man was literally about as comedic as it got.

My main source of skepticism is definitely the writers. Other than that it would be the risk of great villains not being used to their potential. I want them to be actual characters but Marvel Studios have several examples of falling short on that, even though they're not terrible. They're just bland, and I don't want the likes of Kraven, Mysterio to be bland.
