First show on Monday: Features all the old WWE guys like Hogan, nWo, Foley, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, RVD, Val Venis, etc.

Second show on Thursday: Features all the TNA homegrown talent like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Hernandez, etc.

:o

My soul just died reading that :csad:

So, I read that TNA is close to signing two major names and won't stop there...

 Eric Bischoff and Hogan...you have Matt Morgan, AJ Styles, Joe, Daniels, Hernadez, not to mention X-Division guys and World Elite.

Maybe I am wrong and TNA is buying more wrestlers for a second show?
I'll say it again. There's no way Ed Leslie isn't going to get a paycheck out of this.

He'll show up, hedge trimmers and all. Retro is the new black.

I still think a second show should split their two World Titles. Monday night would be the X division, and Thursday would be the Heavyweights. Knockouts get both shows, and I'd change the stupid Global title to a real secondary belt for the X Division show (maybe a Hardcore belt to completely separate it...though I'd also fire half the hardcore type wrestlers in the company, hmmm) and leave the tag titles on the heavyweight show.

anyone want to get the Marnie 2 now? :hehe:

i guess botches are in movies too lol

I think it's the other way around. They're going to try to have the big names on Monday night to compete with Raw. And that would mean having to put the heavyweights on on Monday night.....

I think they can still use the "Legends" or "Global" and turn it into a proper secondary title...one company, one heavyweight title

I really wish TNA was given the 3 hour monday night deal back in their hey day.

When the X Division was on fire. When Joe was smoking hot. It would have been perfect the night Angle made the jump.

I dunno if TNA was ready for a Monday 3 hour show back then. They're barely ready for it now. I do think the X-division should be a bigger staple of TNA. Sets em apart from The E.

TNA might be able to handle two shows. They definitely need another show to showcase all the talent they have. I think you'd need a good mix of young up and coming guys and a few established veterans for them to learn from.

The older guys have the name recognition to be a draw while the younger guys have the energy and excitement to keep viewers coming back. It can't be like WCW though where the old guys stayed perched at the top forever and just squashed any of the young guys looking to climb the ladder.

The older performers would have to put the younger guys over the way Angle and Sting have been doing recently. With Hogan though...well...you never know.

TNA hasn't had a "hey day"....maybe creatively, but back then....they weren't on the road that much and had much less exposure

I think 2 hour shows are adequate as long as you know how to actually use that time

Major names that are likely: Kennedy (assuming he's not injured again), Rob Van Dam, Brutus Beefcake, Jimmy Hart

Long shots: Mean Gene, Roddy Piper, Amy Dumas, Goldberg, Booker T, Torrie Wilson, Paul Heyman, Meng/Haku

Not a chance in hell: Dwayne Johnson, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Trish Stratus

Possibles from WWE: Matt Hardy, Gregory Helms, Mickie James

A Goldberg/Rhyno match could be good. Battle of the spear and gore.

Ah the spear... a good old fallback move for guys...especially big guys. I loved Goldberg's. it just looked devastating. Then you got guys like Lashley and Batista doing it. Never thought theirs were quite as convincing. Edge is an awesome heel but his spear looks like a guy going in for a hug.

I can buy Big Shows since he's almost 500 pounds. Even if he ain't movin with lightning speed I can believe it'd still knock the hell out of somebody. I remember one he did on Evan Bourne. It looked like a shark turning to go after his prey.

what good is it to say "that locker room back there is full of talent" when we don't see them AT ALL during the biggest show of the year?? why indulge Fatty and Greasy by having them "jump" Beer Money?? why? why? why?

They're going to sign Buff ...and his big ass hat. This wouldn't surprise me at all.

Pretty much; particularly on Edge. I just could never really buy it for a guy of his build, no matter how well he delivered it. Goldberg, on the other hand, looked like he'd just about destroy you with that move.

They might sign Buff Bagwell? Seriously?

Where's Scotty Norton when you need him?

Rhino was always my favorite spear. Remember when he put Jericho through the Titantron?

I'd never heard of Al Green until I saw him on Hogan Knows Best.

Lets say they sign RVD...

An X Division show would feature RVD, Jeff Hardy, probably Brian Kendrick, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles and others...I would put that show on any night of the week and expect decent ratings.

I agree. Unless the Nastys or Hall and Xpac are there short term and Beer Money beats the ever loving Christ out of them then its just a big middle finger by Hogan in the face of the TNA roster.

I was praying Bubba the Love Sponge would quit but I guess he's just to much of a mark for Hogan and so far up his @$$ that he can see his mustache.

I dont mind the pushing of the old guys at the moment...

IF IF IF

TNA then follows up by having Beer Money, the Machine Guns etc beat Hall and Nash, Nasty Boys etc so that the casual fans will associate them as being good as the legends.

If this ends like that Main Event mafia storyline, where the young guys were crushed at every turn and eventually gave up, then TNA is ruined.

Maybe in his ECW days, but I don't see RVD entering the X-Division. He has gotten kinda bulky.

I don't think we have to worry about Goldberg showing up on TNA anytime too soon, I heard he was set to be one of the contestants on the new season of The Apprentice.

I fully expect Beer Money to lay waste to Fatty and Greasy within the next 2 months
