It was done so quickly, he didn't think twice about putting Supes on his ass.......then Superman shoulder blocked him into the nearest wall....

It was so cool, and totally unexpected. Atleast for me. It was a slpit second and bam, on yer ass Superprick.

if Cena is indeed hurt, and I would not wish injury on anyone, except for Goldberg, he should die screaming.........then the title might need to move off of Cena.......

Cena apparently injured on Monday Night Raw

Written: October 2, 2007CLEVELAND – “No matter how serious, the injury, one way or another I’ll be ready to compete on Sunday.” – John Cena in his locker room after Raw

During his match with Mr. Kennedy Monday night of Raw, it looked like WWE Champion John Cena was injured. Jim Ross noticed that The Champ appeared injured as Randy Orton attacked him after the match.

"It looked like Cena was injured earlier - his shoulder - against Mr. Kennedy," Ross said.

If Cena was hurt, undoubtedly the injury was worsened by Orton’s brutal attack, which included two RKOs and an assault with steel ring steps.

The extent of The Champ’s alleged injury is unknown. As a precaution, Cena headed to Birmingham, Ala. Monday night to be evaluated by Dr. James Andrews.

Stay with WWE.com for further updates on Cena’s condition as they become available.
Sounds like an "overcoming the odds" storyline.

Could be legit, and used to help boost the story between the two, eventually leading to Cena almost overcoming the odds yet again just to get destroyed by Orton.

Or it's real and WWE's ****ed again.

If it is genuine, the extent of it is the next question and you know that someone is going to write a column expressing their joy over someone being injured........it could also mean a great opportunity for the WWE to freshen up the title picture...

Whoa. I thought I was alone in that sentiment.

O no FTB...I cannot stand that pompous toolbox. He was the crown jewel in the *****ty crown of WCW......He was handed everything on a plate, and now seems to believe he is as good as his gimmick made him out to be.......

Not to mention his clumsy ass kicked Bret Hart in the head and shut him down for good. :(

I try not to think about that.......that whole time in WCW.....I refer to it as "the dark times".....the only thing vaguely intresting was the MIA vs Team Canada.....

But even then the fans turned on Cena Hunter.

Fans aren't going to boo HBK, Undertaker, RVD, Jericho, or Christian you know? Granted Jericho, HBK, and Edge did play to Cena's strengths but the fans still didn't buy Cena either and I still don't think they do.

Maybe it's because I want to see something new. In my world Orton would be the WWE champion.

Fans have booed Y2J and Christian before, they were heels, the problem was that Cena got a MASSIVE reaction the night he showed up on RAW and then started with this "I fight for these people, i do my best" crap and lost his edge. Then after the Y2J feud he lost it completely in the Angle feud where Angle exposed him in the ring and you could see he wasn't really good enough at that point to carry the belt.
Instead of telling Kurt to call the matches more sensibly they increased the stupidity of the booking with Angle going anti USA and being managed by Duvari, it reeked of desperation and turned more fans anti Cena instead of helping him.

With HBK and Taker, they are legends and faces so he was never expected to get dominant cheers against them but at least by the HBK feud he was getting some respect, the problem is the damage was done, he was the champ a year to early and exposed both in the ring and hurt by his gimmick change, by the time he got it right in 2006 it was to late, he'd already been champ for a grueling and crappy year and the anti Cena fans were set in the trenches.

Booking is everything, perfect example of this is Big Daddy V, there's a guy who has done nothing for a decade and been a primary jobber, with the right gimmick and the correct booking he's now a credible monster set to get a feud with Taker on SD. Another example is Rey, a Lucahdore working heavyweight ME b/c they play to his strengths, they don't try to have a dominant Rey or a badass Rey, they let him be him and he works as a fast break offense underdog, for which the crowd love him.

Details are not for certain right now, but John Cena looks to have suffered a possible torn right pectoral muscle during his match against Ken Kennedy. Cena is scheduled to undergo a MRI tomorrow to examine the severity of the injury. If he has a torn pectoral, he could be gone for several months to recover. The injury appeared to happen during a hip toss on Kennedy that ended oddly with Kennedy landing on top of Cena. Cena then nailed an arm drag and the two ended up in the corner. Cena backed up to the opposite corner and was obviously favoring his arm immediately. Cena did go through with the after match angle with Randy Orton while in severe pain.

Cena is scheduled to main event the No Mercy PPV against Randy Orton.

I liked the way they built up HHH/Umaga. HHH threw everything he had at Umaga, and it all got shrugged off. Hopefully Umaga will win at No Mercy but I won't hold my breath.

Cena/Kennedy was weak. And man, can Cena please put his submission on right?

i pray this is true

As much as I don't like Cena's character I hope he isn't injured. I would never wish injury on someone I didn't like, so hopefully it's not a tear and just something minor or nothing at all.

Regardless of how I feel about his push, Cena the man seems like a cool, unique, and hard working individual. Hopefully it was just a scare and he can wrestle at No Mercy. However this also could be a work to continue his "overcoming the odds" aspect. It really wouldn't surprise me at this point.

Torn pectoral is a few month on the shelf.....wasn't that Edge's injury?? Like I had said before, I wouldn't wish injury on anyone, except for Goldberg, and I think its childish for the anti-Cena crowd to start rejoicing if that is the case....

Something tells me this is BS from WWE.COM so naive fans buy into Sunday's PPV with hope Cena loses the title.

Just read about Cena beating Kennedy with the ****.

Cena was carrying the arm low, it looked like it was really hurt, or Cena knows how to make it look really good......

I haven't seen the match yet but from what iread it seems many could see he was hurt before JR called it and given he's worked non stop for 3 years in top level matches it's hardly shocking that he may have an injury, RAW is gonna hurt if he takes time off.

I'd expect the match to end with a finish that protects both as Umaga is supposedly going to SD to face Taker and they'll want to keep him strong to job to Taker.

I'm guessing the injury hurt the match but Cena does apply the hold right he just doesn't pull back as WWE are worried about neck injuries, he uses it more like a modified sleeper if you look, pressing both forearms against either side of the neck.

An internal power struggle is developing in TNA between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle. Although Jarrett is the part-owner, Angle has been making it clear that he wants to co-run TNA with Dixie Carter in the future. Kurt and Karen are friends with Carter and Kurt has been developing a lot of pull with management. He is also tight with Vince Russo when it comes to booking his segments. Kurt had the endings to his matches with Abyss and Jay Lethal changed at the last PPV, getting planned run-ins by Judas Mesias and Christopher Daniels scrapped in favour of clean finishes. He was said to be less than pleased that TNA proceeded to book Lethal to get punked out by Samoa Joe later on, since it just made Lethal look like a jobber once again.

TNA plans to build the Women's Division around Gail Kim, with Amazing Kong set up as her rival.

Vampiro has been telling friends that he is going to retire.

Bill DeMott also says he plans on retiring, though not until the end of the year.

David Heath, a.k.a. Vampire Warrior, a.k.a. Gangrel is going to direct 12 porn movies. The first, Miami Rump Shkerz 2, shoots in November.

I hope the cena thing is just part of the show. It would suck that just as soon as everyone comes back to give him fresh opponents, he has to leave. :(

I admire Cena and respect him as a person and as a wrestler. IMO he's humble and hardworking. What I don't like is the way he has been booked. I hope he's not injured.

I think the only guy I didn't mind if he was injured or not was Triple H. From what I've read and seen, it seems he's not a guy to be trusted.
