You make a great point. But what can he change about his gimmick? He's gone way beyond the white rapper thing and morphed into a simple All-American babyface. I do agree if he hadn't felt so forced when he first got the belt (the moves of doom, catchphrases etc.) and have been more natural he wouldn't feel so stale to a lot of fans.

I agree with you. He's been forced fed to the fans for so long that he's typecast as a babyface now. Even if he went heel, the fans would not buy it. They have to recreate his image somehow, but how they will do it is a mystery. The great wrestlers are the ones who change from heel to face on a regular basis. Keep mixing it up. Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels,Hulk Hogan, ect, ect. Hell The Undertaker has had 4 or 5 different looks over his career. They kept reinventing him. That kept him a favorite in the fans eyes no matter what his gimmick was. A wrestlers charactor has to grow. It has to be in a constant morphing state so it doesn't get stale and stagnate.

So who is going to order Summerslam this weekend?

If Cena loses the title, I suggest a party in this thread all night long.

^And if he does retain, we all should post the "Same Old Crap" pics.

Cena needs to turn heel or become a tweener of some sort.

Cena needs to start freestyling on people again.
Even if he doesn't do that and keeps his same gimmick, he'd make a great heel.

Oh man, if Cena loses; I'm going to try VERY hard not to gloat and do cartwheels in the bar :D

I kinda hope Cena wins just so i can witness you all act like teenage girls told the tickets are sold out for an Usher concert:woot:

You'll be too busy touching yourself in your Cena t-shirt and Cena hat with your Cena dolls. :cmad:

pffft ya'll are the ones that spend time obsessing over him "Like OMG he better lose or like i just dunno what i'll do, i mean WWE should ditch their money maker and make someone else champ cos he makes me cry cos he doesn't lose":cmad:

Vince should just realise that Snitzky blows and cut his losses, he'll no doubt try to blame it on ppl remembering Snitzky as the toe sniffing, Backne freak with the weird beard from 2005 and so can't accept him as a monster but that's BS, Big Daddy V has become a credible monster overnight despite being a pajama wearing heat jobber for over 2 years.
Vince really thought Snitsky was over?

My suspicions that Vince lives in his own fantasy land may be confirmed.

- As previously posted, Harry Smith, Teddy Hart and Nattie Neidhart are working under the name Hart Foundation 2.0. WWE is looking to bring them up to the main roster soon, and are trying hard to get Bret Hart to work an introduction angle in trade for WWE promoting his new book, that is set to be released in October.

If Bret won't do it, Jim Neidhart is very willing to come in and do the angle. SmackDown writer Michael Hayes is very high on Teddy Hart as he reminds Hayes of his World Class Championship Wrestling persona and feels like he "lives the gimmick."

- TJ Wilson, who has basically been considered a member of the Hart Family and is also dating Nattie, will not be included in the group as first thought. Instead, it appears he will be brought up to the roster as a cruiserweight on the SmackDown brand.

The following is from WWE.com:

WWE has come to terms on the release of developmental talent Dan Rodman. We wish Dan all the best in his future endeavors.

NOTE FROM US: This is fairly significant as he was Stephanie McMahon's pet project and was nearly brought up to the main roster numerous times. He also worked house shows against John Cena.

Nnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooo! Not Dan "The Rod" Rodman!!!

I PROMISE not to say a thing(complaint-wise) if he loses. I'll just start shopping at Hot Topic

It just sux that his T-shirt selling abilities keep the strap on him. How much Hulkamania merch was Vince or his dad selling when Hogan was at the top of his game?

Snitsky had a chance and dropped the ball. A change in outfit would've really helped. And maybe bringing back "it wasn't my fault", except making it more evil. He shouldn't have discolored his teeth, he went too far with that crap and overdid it. Discolored teeth would fit a gimmick like Murdoch's a bit more.

That's a huge lie. If Cena went heel with the rap gimmick, I have no doubt he'd be the biggest heel in the WWE. So big, eventually, in about a year or so, the crowd would start cheering for him, and they'd have to turn him face, kinda like the Rock. Wait, that already happened. And hopefully if it happens again in the future, the morons in charge won't make the same mistake they did before and drop the thuganomics gimmick.

Well, I think we can safely assume that the 80's wouldn't be the 80's without Hulk Hogan.
