Didn't Billy Crsytal make a movie a while back about Andre the Giant?

It wasn't about him, but according to IMDB.com, Billy Crystal was inspired to write the script to the movie "My Giant" from having worked with 'Andre The Giant' in the The Princess Bride (1987).

I think Carlito should stop whining and stop being such a lazy ass in the ring. His spot on the card would take care of itself.

carlito asked for his release? WTF?

Yeah, he said he doesn't like his current push. I don't know what happened to Carlito ring wise and character wise. I'm thinking he really needs to stop being lazy in the ring and start trying to improve.

He and Shelton both have the talent to be great superstars, however, it seems they feel they're owed something and their performance seems to show how lazy they've become.

It's really sad cuz like carlito was always just on the edge of becoming great. He never quite pulled it off though.

I use to love Carlito, he was good in the ring and had a helluva lot of charisma. He got sloppy and lazy and now I could care less about him. If he wants to be released, oh well.

I can't say I agree about Shelton, but Carlito has shown that he could be a top level star in a few years if he put the needed effort into it. But he's lazy and probably feels he should be pushed on his name alone.

I dunno where this "Shelton and Carlito are awesome, and could be superstars" myth came from, but it's definitely one of the best works in the history of the wrestling business. And that's saying something when you've got such classic works as "Andre before he was fat=super worker!" and "Japanese wrestling from the late 1960's is totally awesome and not in any way boring at all!".

Maybe Shelton and Carlito started it themselves? Well, to be fair, Carlito does have moments where he shows that he could be something good on the upper midcard, but he usually makes sure that we forget those moments by watching him suck horribly. I dunno why people continue to think Shelton is awesome, but lazy. He can jump real high and do a dragon whip or a dragon screw, but he sucks, can't talk, has no sense of how to build a match/create presence, and he's lazy.

I have to agree with Sarge on this one.....if Shelton wants to get anywhere, he is going to have to do it with Charlie IMO....he's a better tag wrestler because he really cant carry a match on his own....everyone keeps bringing up his 4th of July match back in 05 with HBK....but what have you done for me lately Shelton..?

Shelton started to get become entertaining with the "mama" angle". If he had a mouthpiece he could become something great.

He's had great matches with Jericho, HBK, Angle, and he's had some decent matches with Carlito. But yes he has gotten lazy in the ring and doesn't show as much passion or excitement.

Carlito is pretty average, he's not bad on the mic but fairly one dimensional.
In the ring when you are his size, you better either be exceptional performers like Eddie and HBK, or you better have a great mind for the business like Flair. As it is Carlito is not and hasn't.

Hey did you guys remember that there's a TNA PPV tonight?

Me neither.

- The PPV kicked off with the playing of the National Anthem in salute of our troops.

- The PPV opening played, it showed various clips of a baby in a womb and sperm swimming towards an egg.

(1) Shop of Horrors Match: Abyss vs Black Reign. Anything goes in this match and various weapons are placed around ringside. Abyss pulls out a huge plaster board and busts it over Reign's head. Abyss grabs Reign and slams him through a wall. Reign has had no offense thus far. Reign finally took control of the match by suplexing Abyss on to two trash cans on the entrance ramp. Abyss pulls out a barbed wire bat and nails Reign in the gut and back with it. They battled to the top of the entrance way and Abyss chokeslammed Reign off the stage and on to the floor. Abyss pulled out a board covered in rat traps and placed it in the ring. Abyss then took Reign's hand and closed it inside a vice. James Mitchell came to ringside but Abyss took Misty the rat and stuck it down his clothes. Reign took abyss and slammed him face first into the rat trap covered board. Reign tried to used brass knucks but Abyss countered it into the Blackhole Slam for the win.

Winner: Abyss

- As Abyss made his way to the back Johnny Stamboli dressed as Red Rum attacked Abyss and spit red mist in his face. Reign and Rum then beat Abyss down two on one. They put Abyss inside a big wooden crate and shoved it off the entrance ramp and on to the floor.

(2) Team 3D vs The Motorcity Machine Guns. Sabin & Shelley jumped Team 3D on the ramp as they made their way to the ring. Both teams brawled around ringside and into the crowd. Team 3D got frustrated and teased leaving but finally came back to the ringside area. Brother Ray kicked the announcers desk and flipped Mike Tenay off. Team 3D took control of the match as they iscolated Shelley. Brother Ray shoved a fan at ringside and tossed his hat into the other side of the crowd. The fan seemed scared and mad at the same time. He might have been a plant but I don't think he was. Shelley finally made the tag to Sabin who came in on fire. Devon pulled out a table but Sabin kicked it into his face. Brother Ray took the metal studded belt and nailed Sabin with it numerous times. Devon pulled out another table and set it up in the croner inside the ring. Ray whipped Sabin into the table but he countered it by walking up the table and doing a back flip. Devon charged at Sabin but he moved and Devon went crashing through the table. Shelley & Sabin then nailed a set of kicks on Brother Ray for the pin.

(3) Womens Title Match: Gail Kim (c) vs Roxxi Levoux vs ODB vs Angel Williams. Roxxi touched the referee on the head and Mike Tenay said she looked as if she put a curse on him. ODB went crazy and started slapping everyone on the butt including the referee. She then took Angel Williams and rubbed her face into her chest. This match is very sloppy. Gail Kim nailed a dive to the floor on to Roxxi. Kim nailed a neck breaker on ODB for the pin.

- Awesome Kong came out onto the stage and pointed and Gail Kim.

- Outside Karen Angle and Jeremy Borash are trying to find out who is in the limo. Karen opened the door and James Storm was inside with Eric Young. They were having a drinking contest. Storm said he's the world beer drinking champion and pulled out a toy WWE Spinner belt that was all decorated up with tape and paint and such.

(4) X Division Title Match: "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal (c) vs "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt. Lethal came to the ring decked out in new Macho Man type gear with red and white streamers. Once again Lethal and Socal Val made eye contact. Dutt nailed a flip dive on to Lethal on the floor. Dutt trys to ware down Lethal with by using a body scissors type submission. Lethal dives through the ropes and catches Dutt on the floor. Back in the ring Dutt locks on a camal clutch. Lethal his the top rope elbow drop for the pin.

Winner: "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal

- Socal Val entered the ring and celebrated with Lethal until Team 3D ran down to the ring and attacked both Dutt and Lethal as Val looked on in terror. Brother Ray took the mic and said they are taking the X Division title hostage.

- Backstage Crystal interviewed Kevin Nash. She asked him if he's 100% sure Scott Hall isn't Sting's partner. He said he is sure. They were interruped by yelling. Crystal walked into one of the locker rooms where Young and Storm were having another beer drinking contest.

(5) World Tag Team Title Match: AJ Styles & Tomko (c) vs The Steiner Brothers. Rick looks really bad in the ring. The match hasn't been more than 5 minutes and he already seems to be blown up. Not much to this match really. It's very slow paced and boring. Tomko and Scott battle on to the floor. Styles takes a steel chair and nails Rick with it for the pin.

Winners: AJ Styles & Tomko

- A white limo is shown pulling up outside. Tenay says he assumes that Sting's partner is inside.

The announcers have no idea what happened to her. Roode nails Joe with a sick looking piledriver. Joe nails the Muscle Buster for the win.

Christian bridges the ladder from the rail to the ring apron, lays Kaz on it and nails a frog splash on to him from the top rope. That was a really nice spot.
