maybe this could lead to Punk eventually moving to Smackdown and Stevie taking over as top face for a little while until they groom their next one.

I was thinking the same thing. It'd be great to see Stevie go after the ECW title to cap off his long struggle back to wrestling.

Yeah, just noticing how dead the crowd was when she came out

Yeah. :( Hopefully she'll learn how to garner charisma.

I'm still not sold on Kofi yet, but sometimes I'm late coming around

- Former WWE Superstar Sean "X-Pac" Waltman is denying claims made by Juventud Guerrera that Waltman recently attempted suicide. Waltman says he had a bad reaction from mixing antidepressants and alcohol.

Waltman did say that WWE is paying for his current stay in a treatment facility. Ron Simmons, Scott Hall and Jake Roberts are also currently in rehab on WWE's offer.

- For those wondering why the crowd was so hot at Sunday night’s Against All Odds pay-per-view from Greenville, South Carolina, Jeremy Borash told the fans in attendance before the event began that the 200 loudest fans would get backstage passes. According to multiple live reports that I have received from the event, TNA did not hold up their end of the deal.

They need to put Henry over someone of some value soon.

Is this some kind of way of bringing them back to the WWE?

TNA Impact SPOILERS for 2/21

Chris Johnson - Tuesday, February 12 2008 - 9:59 PM

> Gerweck.net <

(1) TNA Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Tomko d. Kip James & Bob Armstrong when Kip turned on Bob. Kip attacked BG after the match as well.

- Jay Lethal asked SoCal Val out on a date and she said "OHHH YEAHHH".

(2) Kaz d. Rellik. Black Reign attacked Kaz after the match. Eric Young wanted to make the save but he was too scared so he hid under a blanket instead.

(3) Petey Williams d. Johnny Devine and Sonjay Dutt in a 3 way to earn a shot at the X Division Title. Petey won after Scott Steiner hit Devine with one of the Feast or Fired cases. Petey was suprised that Scott helped him.

(4) Brother Ray d. Curry Man & Shark Boy in a two one one match. Brother Devon didn't make weight this time. Ray won when he hit Shark Boy with what was thought to be a sub sandwich but it had a pipe inside of it.

(5) Roxxi Levoux & Jackie Moore d. ODB & Gail Kim. Kim and ODB brawled after the match.

(6) Kurt Angle d. Booker after a run in from Robert Roode. AJ Styles ran down and it was a three on one beat down until Nash, Joe and Cage made the save.

- Kevin Nash challenged Kurt Angle to a TNA World Title match on the next show and he accepted.

If anyone was still the least bit skeptical: Benoit probe ends: He alone killed wife, son.

- - Ohio Valley Wrestling has three weeks to wrap up storylines involving wrestlers under developmental deals. As previously reported, the wrestlers under contract will be reporting shortly to Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa, FL.

- Lance Storm has a blog up about OVW and FCW:

http://www.stormwrestling.com/021108.html

- From what I understand, the WWE/OVW relationship is not totally over. WWE has cut ties with Ohio Valley Wrestling as a developmental group, but will still review their tapes and televisions shows, and send WWE talent for the bigger shows - and likely sign talent from Louisville to send to Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa, FL. The main reason WWE ended its developmental relationship is due to the fact that most of WWE agent's live in Florida and they don't want to fly out of state on their days off.

- In regards to TNA adding another show devoted to the knockout division, at least at this point, nothing is imminent.

- About 90% of Impact is being written by Vince Russo. Dutch Mantel is largely in charge of the women's division, reports Dave Meltzer.

- "Bullet" Bob Armstrong wrestling at the Against All Odds PPV was considered a one-time deal.

- Peyton Banks (aka Rain on the independent circuit) is working without a contract.

- Believe it or not, Stephanie McMahon actually fired creative writer Dave Lagana while he was on vacation. WWE sent out a one sentence e-mail to alert employees of the firing. In the past, there had been multiple complaints from others in the company about him. During the spring of 2006, some agents claimed he was a problem and there was a belief he may have been fired at that time. Instead, Lagana was demoted from head writer of Smackdown to head writer of ECW.

It is said that Dusty Rhodes was told ahead of time that Lagana would not be returning from his vacation. Rhodes requested not to be given the head writing job for ECW as he didn't want the extra workload and pressure of that position.

wtf... how would they even judge who the loudest fans are...

Saw Raw tonight, thought it was a decent show and a good lead in to the PPV, Henry/Cena was a bit short but OK and i love the Cena/Orton dynamic, JBL/Y2J was a good match but what is with the no call on the Codebreaker finish ? good for Jericho to get a big clean win to build some momentum.

The stand out things on the show for me:

- Maria had easily her best match to date, in no way should she be getting a women's title shot at WM24 but it's good to see improvement and hopefully she continues to do so.

- The Flair/Kennedy promo, a classic IMO, just like with the MVP match Flair has had a fantastic promo segment with his young hot shot opponent to build heat leading into the event, this one matched the VIP one but brought even better intensity, perhaps b/c the Flair/Kennedy build already has more of an edge to it.

- Hardy vs HBK was a a Raw classic, one of the best matches in the shows history, it had everything, great story, spot on pacing, superb bumping, good selling and inventive counters, it just clicked perfectly, this is the match to beat for MOTY 2008.

Have to say I really enjoyed raw.

Umaga attacking Jericho and Jbl after the match .. good buildup . guess its everyman for himself now.
Cena's promo on Orton was really good.
The Kennedy / Flair promo was fantastic . One of Kennedy's best and made you really root for Flair.
The Triple H video for No Way Out , the best thing they could do in his absence. It's almost like a buildup for his return.
The Hbk / Hardy classic. I agree this is an early contender for Match of the year and most likely will be.

- Although John Cena is friendly with virtually everyone in the locker room and the wrestlers respect his work ethic, he is also considered a "kiss ass" by some. Cena hangs out with Vince McMahon, something not uncommon for the company's #1 babyface. One wrestler said, "Cena is definitely Vince’s boy and that’s why Triple H doesn’t even try to f--- with him". While Cena is viewed as a company man, Randy Orton is viewed as someone who will stand up to management.

In Cena's defense it's not like he's the first one to do it. Cena, HBK, Taker, HHH(obviously), and Bret Hart were close to Vince during the peak of their careers and some of them remain in that position today. However, it goes to show that it helps to have Vince behind you in order to keep H's ego in check.

Mark your calendars! Write this date and time down! LastSunrise1981 has just defended John Cena!! :wow: :wow:

I think this picture from the last page applies here too.

If TNA wants a hot crowd they need to give them reasons to raise hell. Giving away tickets, making empty promises for backstage passes if the crowd cheers loud. They didn't have to do that in the past, the crowd got riled up on their own, they'd do the back and forth chants, and this is awesome. You'd think TNA would start rethinking things when things used to go much smoother, and now their going down the drain fast.

Best thing they can do now is finally fire Russo, and probably Angle too as I doubt he'd want to take backseat in TNA after getting every title draped around his waist at once including ones from other feds. In fact get rid of all the ex-WWE guys except for Cage, Sting, Booker I guess is alright, and Tomko plays a good enforcer for Cage. This includes VKM as they do zilch for TNA. Then they need to use a time machine and go back to where they were before, when AJ wasn't a goofy croney who jobs left and right, and Joe was on his was on his way to his first very well built up title run.

I say lose Sting and Booker, too. Cage stays, as well as Rhino. 3D can stay depending on their direction. If the "killing the X-Division" thing is still used, then no, get rid of them, too.
