Since we already have threads dedicated to John Lennon and David Bowie, this is a thread dedicated to Stevie Wonder, the greatest soul / R & B musician in the history of recorded music.

The blind guy. The blind guy who managed to overcome his ailment and become one of if not the most influential artists in recorded history.

If that is a current pic of him...someone needs to tell him the year isn't 1989.

Should I have been more Bateman-esque inmy praise for him?

No, it's more mid 1980s'.

In what way? How is it funny?

If you put an exclamation mark on the end, it'd be even funnier.

It just sounds like the beginning of a bad trailer.

John Lennon was better.

But Stevie was great, excellent composer, great musical artist, awsome voice, etc. One of the best musicians ever.

The man's music is classic stuff.

Here's a few of my favorites.

Do I Do

For Once In My Life

Higher Ground

I Was Made To Love Her

My Cherie Amour

Ribbon In The Sky

Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours

Superstition

Stevie Wonder is one of my favorite musicians of all time. Love that guy :)

Great stuff.

I have a list myself. It's about 60 songs long, but it just goes to illustrate how many good songs the man has.

As a side note:

10, 000 posts! WOOT! Haha!

Stevie is on par, or even on a higher level than most musicians lyrically. Sit back and listen to most of his songs, not just the love ballads. He talks about some pretty hardcore stuff. Like Superstition, for one.

Agreed. Stevie is quite possibly the most socially conscious musician around. He dealt with a lot of topics (Racism, Apartheid) no one had really dealt with before (except Dylan).
