The Stupidest things In comics

I'll also add to my list Cyclops ambiguous relationships with every phychic mutant on the planet. And for the record, I'll state,"He should have never cheated on Jean. She shouldn't have died. And Cyclops&Emma was the worst idea since killing off MaryJane, yet bringing her back in a dorky way. I rest my case

Oh and how the Alpha flight died was the dumbest idea for a death EVER!!!!

Technically there are actually two teams of Alpha Flight and the one that fought the Collective may not have been the real Alpha Flight at all. Anyways interviews state they are not all died, plus there is still the original or temporal copies still around.

If you look at their feats they should not have gotten owned while the New Avengers faired so well. Shaman alone has the power to destroy Earth himself. Really though, what did their "Deaths" even do?

Temporal copies: http://alphanex.alphaflight.net/index.php/Alpha_Flight_(Temporal_Copies)

Exactly. Shaman's in Dr. Strange's league of sorcery, Sasquach can go toe to toe with The Hulk, and the Gaurdian once took down a weakened Galactus. If the New Avengers, who are basically a bunch of street level vigilantes and secret agent types plus one or two really powerful memebers can do so well, then Alpha Flight should have stopped the threat then and there.

Everyone has taken down a weakened Galactus. It's stopped being impressive. Hell, I've probably taken down a weakened Galactus before, and I just didn't notice.

I'd have to say the Clone Saga from spider-man was really stupid. It had an awesome idea but the way it was put out (like a 10 cent tramp) made it just horrible.

Another stupid idea is Wolverine being unkillable. I used to like him back when he had limits, you know, back in the day when he killed 30 some ninjas and almost died from the massive injuries and had to hide out for a few hours/days until he could get better. Now he gets nuked and his pants stay on! or his entire body except for his bones gets atomized and he's all better 2 minutes later.

Those are my two peeves right now.

Yeah. Deadpool and Mr. Immortal should be the only ones with healing factors that make them unkillable. And they're generally humorous characters, so it works for them.

I don't think Deadpool should be unkillable, since he's being used seriously around the Marvel universe now. Really, only Mr. Immortal should be totally immune to death because he's always portrayed as a cartoonish caricature.

Even when he's used seriously, he tends to supply the comic releif. Also, Thanos cursed him with true immortality after Lady Death began making romantic advances towards Wade. So, even if Wade's healing factor didn't make him completely unkillable before, it does now.

That little pixie chick he hangs out with cares about him, too. I keep hoping he'll kill her.

And Starfox and Mentor and grandpappy Kronos.

I can't believe i didn't think of this before; Thanos Copter. That's pretty stupid right there.

Oh yea, whats up with her?

It's like reading an adventure with Link, except instead of having an ocarina of time, he has a gauntlet of infinity, and instead of a hot elf chick, there's a hot skeleton chick.

If by "awesome" you mean "an annoying ***** in need of a totally disrespectful, off-panel death," then yes.

I wonder wtf Thanos is planning in Annihilation, damn bastard.

No. By awesome I mean she should be like Wolverine and become an ongoing character in Cable & Deadpool. And then be on the X-Men, Avengers, Defenders, Champions, New X-Men, the reformed Generation X, New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Secret Avengers, Secret Defenders, Young Avengers, Geriatric Avengers, West Coast Avengers, Antarctic Avengers, Excalibur, UK Avengers, The Green Berets, Weapon X, the Galactic Avengers, the Eternals, and the Inhuman Avengers.

The rest I could tolerate, but the ****ing Green Berets? You go too far, madame. You go too far.

I don't know, but I'm fairly certain there's gonna be a coup and Thanos will end up being the big villain of Annihilation. Giffen seems to want to re-establish Marvel's cosmic landscape, and Thanos as a hero doesn't fit in that landscape. He's supposed to be the ultimate one-note, plot device villain, not a deep or interesting character.

I kind of liked Thanos the Repentant. Though I could see him easily slipping back into old habits, which I hope hardcore. So the new Silver Surfer could annihilate him.

What's Stupid Is That It Took 8 Issues To Kill Jay Guthrie

It was to symbolize my hate of that little pixie. I hate her up in the range of Wolverine hate, and you KNOW how much I just "love" Wolverine.
