The Summer Hate Thread

It's 72 degrees Fahrenheit and 96% humidity where I'm at. High today is 95 degrees.

I need Fall to come and rescue me from this cruel heat and humidity.

I'd be more than happy to rake leaves or shovel snow just to be rid of this humidity.

I dont like summer, kids have summer vacation and should stay in school.

I'm finally seeing Back-to-School advertisements. Those used to make me depressed when I was a kid, but now all I can think about is an end to this heat.

The only thing I hate about school being in is the ****ing school buses. They add a good 10 minutes to my commute to work on a good day. On a bad day it's 20-30. All the roads to work from my house are residential roads and the buses don't stop once and let every kid that lives on a street out at once. Nope. The driver stops at every single driveway where a kid lives and watches the kid until he or she gets inside their house. It's infuriating. Some people have places to be. What the hell happened to designated bus stops? Now they just stop everywhere and anywhere.:argh:

Can't abide Summer, Can't abide Heat, Can't abide Hot weather. Give me Autumn anytime, can't wait till it's over.

I grew up in New Hampshire and now I live in New Mexico. Winter here is freakin' awesome. It's basically New England spring, but without the rain.

Summer sucks here though. No humidity, but when you're in the triple digits all the time, it doesn't really matter. And the sun here is sooooo intense. I understand how that works, but I burn so much faster here than I ever did in NH. Also, in New Hampshire, there was water everywhere so you could escape the heat. Here, there's no beach, no lakes, and public pools are pretty weak. NM has a pretty big drought problem (we are in the desert after all) and it's like damn near sacrilege to have a pool. I went to Phoenix once. Also the desert. Everyone there has a pool. I don't get it.

Give me a winter in the 50s-60s with no rain or snow ANY time.

Soo sunscreen, everyday, not for vacation, I have big windows :(

I love the summer heat but this non-stop torrential rain I can do without. I like rain when it comes in spurts, but this is getting kind of ridiculous. We had 6 1/2 inches fromm last night to today

So nice being in Australia, so cold and fresh, air is crisp, must feel much better than the squelching, heated, summer you guys are going through

Ill take it. I looooove rain. If it would rain at least once a day Id be happy.

I don't mind rain except for in the summer, especially if you don't have an umbrella.

The weather, particularly the nights, has moderated after an intense heat wave. Yet I feel like summer has gone on for about a year. I'm ready for a few autumnal breezes when I walk outside.

I have always loved Summer, actually. But this previous Summer was an absolute drag for me, TBH. I had so many anxiety issues that it just sort of consumed my mind and I could not have very much fun.

Hoping that next Summer is an improvement....

Another year another 100+ degree heat wave...

Well, rain sucks when your primary means of transportation is the bus.

And yes I know this post was from a year ago, but it deserved a retort!

I find it ironic that my favorite science fiction novel is Dune and yet I hate the heat.

something I literally 100% hate doing is getting into a hot car in the summer

I feel ya. For me, the irony is that Stannis and Melisandre are my favorite characters in A Song of Ice and Fire, and I really hate the heat.

It's that time of the year again. The next 7 weeks are going to be rough. Even the overnights are hovering just under 70 degrees. :csad:
