The Summer Hate Thread

It's that time of the year again. The next 7 weeks are going to be rough. Even the overnights are hovering just under 70 degrees.

I love summer weather the hotter the better. A perfect day to me is like 100. I will go outside and play basketball in like 105 it don't bother me at all. Now if it is humind that is way different. Like I would rather it be 105 with like 30% humind then like 70 and 95% humindy. I hate winter weather. I like snow but I hate cold and I hate rain. I would rather have snow any day then rain. If it is like 50 and rain it fells colder then if it is like 25 and snow because you get less wet with snow then with rain. What surprise me is how many people hate summer and yet love winter. I live where a lot of old people live to. You would think old people would hate winter because athritist tends to be worse in the cold and when you are old you get both hot and cold easily. You would think hold people would only like it when it is like 70. Where I live a average winter day is like 50 and it rains like 75% of the time in the winter. In the summer the average is like 90.

Now with that said I love summer weather like I said because I love heat and I also like that it is not dark at like 5pm. But the thing I hate about summer is no NBA, NFL or NHL and I am not a big MLB guy. So in the summer I have no sports to watch which means like zero to watch on TV and like nothing to do. If I could get NBA, NFL and NHL but with summer weather man that would be perfect!

I like summer itself, I enjoy the nice weather, walks, and free-time from college (although I have online summer classes). What I don't care for are vacations. I'm probably the most boring person on Earth for saying so, but I fail to see the fun in packing a minimal amount of items, sitting in a car or plane for hours, and staying in the same hotel or tent with a bunch of people for a week or two. I do get the appeal of seeing new sights and locations, but for me the end just doesn't justify the means.

Now that the 4th is over, I'm counting down the days until Autumn. Even the overnight temps here have become unpleasant.

It was 94 degrees yesterday. The nice thing about owning a house is that I can go to the basement living room to cool down without turning on the AC. Dad's house didn't have a basement and my previous apartment was second story.

I still have to mow the lawn, damn it.

I heard that on the radio earlier (I'm in England - we're expecting 26-27 degrees C this weekend, with low 20's next week.

I will not envy those areas of Europe next week!

My mom, me, my grandfather, my favorite nephew, and several of my good friends all have birthdays in June....so it's hard for me to hate the summer. I hate how muggy it gets though....so there is that.
