Eti, my coworker whos croatian is currently is being blamed by the VP (who is also my evil boss's wife) for leaking public info to croatian a magazine about Cortec (the company I work for)loosing a lawsuit. The Lawsuit was that Cortec was making claims about thier products that were untrue and in turn painting the competition in a bad light.
Anna, the VP asked Human Resources to spy on her, and the listen to what all the employees are talking about and report back to her because she is ultra paranoid that people are talking bad about them. the HR lady told Eti right away what the VP asked her to do, because she knows that Eti is innocent and that the owners are in fact insane.
The funny thing is, we knew about the lawsuit, because it involves the marketing dept. to change all out brochures because boris the (CEO/meglomaniac) made illegal claims about certain products of our. In a meeting they tried to tell us that we choose to change our literature as a new marketing approach, but we need it done by such and such time to show the Lawyers. Hello, if we are showing lawyers our progress, its not being done out of choice. They think we are morons or something. Just admit when your wrong. The lawyers told them they would probably have to hire a full time person to go through all the literature (we have tons and tons of documents with these illegal claims) and change it because its a full time job, but they are making our way understaffed Marketing Dept do it ourselves. They are so freakin cheap here, mainly because he is spending all the company money on his political campaigns (seriously, he's spent like 3 million dollars to get people to like him, and has failed miserably, how funny is that)
Anyhow, all this lawsuit stuff ended up in Croatian newspapers, saying how crooked of a business man boris is. It showed a copy of the actual lawsuit in the article, something they never showed us, because they tried to lie to us about what was going onand somehow, in thier paranoid delusions, are balming my CoWorker for this, when she had no access to such document. So she is resigning on monday when they are in the office because she doesnt feel she deserves this kind of insane treatment.
Now, marketing will be down another person, right before our huge world sales meeting. And I mean this meeting is huge, they spend alot of money on it. *last time we did one, cortec was 120+ people strong...2 years later, we are a little over 60 and they are planning a bigger event. Come on, like we have the fawcking resources, or the man power. **But they don't care,*they are going to push everyone beyond the breakingpoint.
The best part of the whole 120 employees down to a little over 60 in 2 years is, we pull in alot more money each month then we did 2 years ago, yet somehow, we cannot afford help.
Seriously, every day I say to myself "This place can't possibly get any worse" Then like clockwork, we enter and even deeper level of hell.
If I didnt have house payments and car payments and all that, Id just up and leave, problem is I require to make a certain amount of money to just keep up with all my bills, I havent found another job in this field that can compare to this with my lack of schooling.
Thats why I'm depressed today.
I was only guessing at my op date based on my pre-op assessment being on June 2nd. My op appointment came today, so I'll be in hospital on June 14th....
