In HS I worked at a fastfood place and I gotta say you ladies can do some way nastier things than the guys

Oh, I mean, uh.. sorry.

I'm telling ya if they would have told me in college that the real world was going to be like this I'd have opted to stay there

Also doesnt help that my last project was a gem and this one is well more like the bathrooms that were brought up.

College life is over far too soon.

I worked fast food in h.s. too.. McDonalds. Slave-freakin'-labor. And not nearly the worst job I've ever had.

Anyway I'm off the check on the laptop guys make sure they havent had a collective seizure or something.

You think they're worse than Women's Rooms? I know someone who works in a movie theater and he swears the women's rooms are much grosser. I won't explain why, but you can just imagine.

Well, I was raised in the south in the burbs..

Southern women are very into appearance for appearance's sake.

The lady's room was nigh on spotless compared to what the red-neck animals left behind in the men's room.

Yucky.

McD's alum as well

Yeah? Me too.

Worked there for more than a year until the free food didn't have the same appeal it did and I got tired of coming home smelling like a french fry.

ROFL! Disgustin'

I took a job as a hotel maid when I was in college. I was given the orientation and they explained how I needed to finish a whole room: dirty toilets and tubs, nasty sheets, and vacuum.. in 6-8 minutes.

I never showed up for my first day. I. just. couldn't.

ok well they are ok big surprise. Although one complained of a strained wrist but that probably happened before work

LOL!

Strained wrist? Poor baby... tell him to get an external mouse, it'll help.

Those track pads are murder on the wrist! ;)

Or a Wacom tablet. (An expensive alternative, I know.) I'm telling ya, getting back to using a pen rather than a mouse or track pad has saved my wrist.

And I'm sitting here with my knee iced and raised on pillows. It's making me very grouchy. How 'bout you? ;)

Drugs? Drugs can be good.. or so I've heard.

Believe or not we test here pre-employ and randoms (dont want some guy lifting a 30 ton beam who's just been out strung out). A couple months ago a guy had to release all but 2 of his 30 man crew after a random for that reason

I'm already popping dihydrocodeine like they're candy.... If you have anything stronger I'm all ears. :p

(BTW, I got your email yesterday but right now my email is being funky. I was busy earlier and now my email won't even work. Typical!)

Shipping narcotics overseas might get me in a tad bit of trouble. :)

Is dihydrocodeine stronger than hydrocodone? That's the one I see more commonly rx'd.

It's stronger by far at a similar dosage, but it's usually used at a relatively low dose. I only take 10mg, for instance. My doc doesn't advise anything stronger because he thinks painkiller addiction would be worse than an achy knee. ;)

The achy knee will be having surgery in June, by the way. Joy. I love being lacerated with scalpels'...

And now, having been awake all night, I will be sleeping at 7am.

Stayed up late last night writing and reading and surfing... I'm tired, so I was about to call it a night.

I'm sorry your knee is bothering you. I hate ortho pain. Ice and pain killers can only go so far...

I hope it gets better soon.

Oh, I'm not! I'm probably being very confusing right now - I don't want to be operated on, but it's the lovely old catch 22 because I also want to fix whatever's causing the pain. I *want* surgery; I'm just not looking forward to it because I'm a wuss. ;)

Thanks. The good thing is that even when painkillers don't really work, they usually do make you dopey. Sleep.... Zzzzzzzzzz....

Oh, I know what you mean... When my shoulder was hurting so bad I dreaded the surgery but was also looking forward to it to stop the pain.

It got so bad I couldn't even hold a cup of coffee in my right hand because my shoulder couldn't take the strain. Pathetic.

So I understand. I hope it goes well.

I know a lady who recently had her whole knee replaced she's off work for three weeks and before she goes back she's been on a hiking trip. =) They can do wonders. Unfortunately for me and my latex allergy they are likely to kill me ah vell...
