Really? it's not the same staff twirl?
dammit! I was so sure it was in the movie, How could they!?

BTW, I concede my point about the shot in the .gif of Gambit taking his steps towards Logan. That shot is indeed in the film.

Oh my, 150 pounds is a bit skinny for a guy of his height. But still, he didn't go all The Machinist on the role. I'm sure he can take care of himself.

If it makes you feel ay better, he's still within the range of a healthy BMI. He's not morbidly skinny or anything.

Isn't he around 5'11" or 6'0"? He said one of those in an interview once.

remember when people kept complaining about his "fat" face

Well, you know. He's having the weight loss for a movie. I'm sure that after he's done with the filming he'll be back soon to his normal weight. Considering whether it's true or not, he cannot live long on a diet of 400 kcal a day. I doubt he wants to. Heh, who would...

I can only agree.

UM HOLY ****. SO MUCH TAYLOR NEWS.

He's in Cannes right now looking fine as hell:

(Honourable mention to the second guy on the left who is also looking fine as hell. Congratulations. )

New interview with RT about Wolverine sounding fine as hell:

Taylor Kitsch sat down with RT today on the beach in Cannes to share details of his latest project, The Bang Bang Club, in which he plays a photojournalist in post-Apartheid South Africa alongside Ryan Phillippe and Malin Akerman. While we talked, of course, we couldn't help but ask about his next steps with Gambit, who he played in this year's Wolverine: Origins. Fox wasted no time announcing a movie based on Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool character in the film, but Kitsch seemed unaware that a Wolverine sequel had been given the go-ahead too and he shared his excitement with RT.
"Man, good on Hugh for doing that to his body again," he laughed as we told him about the film. "I hadn't heard that was going to happen! You have my brain going now about what I'd love to do with Gambit!"

Kitsch clearly developed a love for the character while he was making Wolverine, and told us how excited he'd be to jump back into the mantle. "I'm just excited to go deeper into Gambit. It's a flattering thing when people say that the only ****** part about the character is we didn't see enough of him. If that's the case, bring it on. I want to go deep into Gambit."

The character, for him, has much more to him than was explored in his brief screen time as part of Wolverine. "He has so many more colours to explore. I want to go dark with that cat. There are so many things I want people to see of him and he really is his own deal. In Wolverine he was very much moving the story along. If I can have some moments where you go deeper into Gambit's back-story and why he was the way he was at that poker table -- that's a fun thing to explore."

Kitsch is also excited about the possibility of delivering more action as Gambit. "I have the tools now to do some larger fights and I'd be really excited to get a chance to do that, too. I have so many ideas in my mind right now!"

Of course there's been no confirmation that Gambit will appear in the Wolverine sequel, with rumours swirling about it focussing on the clawed one's time in Japan during World War II. Nevertheless, as one of the most popular characters in the X-Men stable we'd not be surprised to hear that his role will be expanded in some form, either as part of Wolverine 2 or in another film. It seems, at least, that in Taylor Kitsch he's in safe, well-researched hands.

hahaha oh venus, you always crack me up! :D

""I'm just excited to go deeper into Gambit. It's a flattering thing when people say that the only ****** part about the character is we didn't see enough of him. If that's the case, bring it on. I want to go deep into Gambit.""

does he read forums or something?
maybe he's been reading us :hehe:

hey, if even riggins can google...

Come on Kitsch, call Hugh and ask him to include Gambit in WOLVERINE 2! :cmad:

Ughhhh I hope something is happening behind the scenes for Gambit. 10 years waiting and then nothing after 10 minutes on screen? :whatever:

Anyway...

He's looking mush better I think.

Hilarity:

Explains Kitsch, "I was incredibly moody. I remember being in my room once and the internet connection was slow. I remember I called down and asked them if it'd improve, and they said the internet in South Africa is just pretty slow. I was so emotionally wrecked that I cried!"

:lmao: Sorry but when I was on vacation with no internet I did the same.

I actually think it would make sense if Gambit was in the Deadpool movie. Have DP hunting him down for a job, what an awesome part of the movie that could be.

And then he gets killed? You know Deadpool would have to win. Its his movie.

I could maybe see him showing up with a similar sized role in wolverine 2, but a Gambit solo is simply not going to happen. He wouldn't fit in a self-aware Deadpool movie, and Fox seems determined to keep him out of first Class.

I still suspect he's going to appear in Wolverine 2 or a new X-men film (if they make one).
