The Taylor Kitsch/Gambit Thread (Take 2-shhh!)

I'd be happy with Gambit in Wolvey 2 only because I have no faith in them making a Gambit spin off. I just don't see them doing it.

I have not much hope either, but I just keep saying it, maybe it will pay off.

Now that Taylor is the lead in John Carter of mars I'm feeling more optimistic about Gambit this movie is going to be HUGE and that can only help the chances to see our dear Remy again.

But I still think the right way to do this is to have him in another movie (wolverine 2 preferably) and then to do the solo movie.

I agree with Neva, I'd like to see him in Wolverine 2, but doubt he'll get a spin off.
Very doubtful. I'm just glad to see he's finally got a starring role in something, eventhough I didn't know who he was when I first heard about him, if that makes sense.
Eh, he's hot and a good actor and he's been through a lot of crap, so he deserves it.

Gambit Script Making the Rounds

A first draft script for an upcoming Gambit origin movie is finished and being passed around. My uncle works for Marvel.
I know at least that Michael Madsen and Kevin Corrigan are being considered for Mr. Sinister and Christina Aguilera, Shannyn Sossamon and Linda Cardellini for Dazzler. Jared Padalecki of "Gilmore Girls" fame and Ian Somerhalder are considered for Gambit, cause Taylor Kitsch is busy shooting other films. My uncle and I are huge gambit fans... please don't say my name, even though he is married to my aunt, but still =)

Yeah, he's still under contract with the studio
and christina aguilera? seriously? maybe the script part is true but that doesn't mean the movie has finally received the green light, there's a magneto script and that movie seems to be going nowhere at this moment.

Doesn't mean much. It's not uncommon for scripts to be thrown around for years before getting shelved and never seeing the light of day.

Besides, aside from Michael Madsen all those casting options are crap.

Irons would be perfect. But yeah, Taylor is under contract with Fox and I think folks would have an absolute FIT if anyone else was chosen, myself included. Taylor already said he was eager to play him again, I'd think the studios would be accomodating to both him and the fans. Right now, I am curious just how much of FNL Taylor is going to be in if he is filming Mars. Can't do both at the same time...

I beleived it was a lie when I read "my uncle".

You would'n't believe the amount of stuff I've read that said "my uncle"
or "my cousin" worked on something or knows someone.

Then I LOL'd when I read Christina Aguilera. So false!
And Ian Summerholder replacing Taylor? Pfft! lies!
That's silly. And if the script were just being passed around,
why the heck would they be considering other actors if
the film isn't even being produced yet? By the time they'd
get around to making it, I'm sure Taylor would have time in his
schedual...'sides, we saw all hyped up he's been over the role,
why wouldn't he not want to make time to repraise it?!

I hate these people...these hacks...writing this stuff
just to get attention when it's so obviously false!
And since when has Christina Aguilera ever acted in anything?

If it turns out to be true, I'll go to the movie dressed up like a female version of Gambit.

Well, I don't know about an absolute fit. He did a good job I thought, but he wasn't in it for very long. So if they actually managed to find someone who does a better job than him, I think most people would be willing to forgive the change.
That being said, however, it wouldn't make much sense to change him at this point because he is getting a bit of fame. He could in a couple of years be a big name to attach to X-movies.

Anyways, I think that post about the a Gambit Origins is a hoax too. People just like to make things up for their own good. And what the hell... Christina Aguilera? What does SHE have to do with movies? I think those singers should keep to their own career and not go into all these kind of little schnaps. Mostly, they're really bad actors and should do what they do best.
